Umm…
@Winterstorm345 Yeah, me too. You’ll probably see that. Also I already said the word I meant to use was style, not aesthetic.

Forgot about that.
Wait, so was the death star ECLIPSE not intimidating? Or the director krennic stare down? I felt pretty intimidated.
Honestly, just seeing the scale of everything was intimidating, and that’s why Gareth Edwards was the perfect choice for director, he knows how to show the scale of everything perfectly
Don’t forget Death Troopers and the shot of Krennic walking into the sunset through the ocean filled with dead stormtroopers.
Along with that.
We also have to remember that these trailers are centered around our protagonists, which explains why SO FAR, we haven’t seen a lot of the empire winning, and we don’t see the rebels winning that much either, in fact, in the first trailer we see rebel pilots in shackles and being escorted through the streets next to stormtroopers and the new imperial tank. That makes me think that the empire isn’t as weak and “ragdoll-ish” as @Winterstorm345 is saying.
a different point though
I dont want to see any more of vader
Like Angry Joe said, Vader should not be in any single trailer, that way it’s a huge surprise when watching the movie.
Honestly, I didn’t want Vader at all.
(Hides)
I agree.
There’s a ton of great cinematography here with awesome shots.
I liked Darth Vader being in the trailer. It was quite obvious he was in the film if you’re paying attention to the movies.
Look, its not that I dont want Vader at all, I feel like either this or what we got at SWCL is all we need of Vader, just enough to say that he is in it, and just enough to build up hype, and I hope that we don’t get any more Vader in the trailers and i REALLY hope that we don’t see any Vader action in the trailers.
This is a weird analogy but, think of Darth Vader as exlax laced gourmet chocolate cake, you’ll love it when you get it, but it will suck later
Those last three images are of super weapons (Technically the star Destroyer isn’t but nothing the rebels have matches up to it) What this movie should have done is make ordinary stormtroopers seem intimidating, as they would be in Universe, because as of now they’re kind of a joke
Personally I think it’s better to keep up with the Empire being kind of less imposing. Otherwise the Original Trilogy’s empire wouldn’t match up to a single film. You’d think, “Well gee what ever happened?”
I think the First Order having more intimidating troopers fits better anyways. They THINK the Empire was great, so they’re trying to keep up with the imaginary. It kind of ironically fits.
Actually I was referring to their portrayal in the OT
Also what? Force Sensitive? Who?
ya’ know, chirrut, the blind guy, with the staff.
He’s confirmed to follow the “church” of the force, whether he is force sensitive or not is not known, but it is heavily implied that he is
Oh boy, here we go again…
