Then our breaks are similar in length. So no bragging!
I’ve finished my classes before Christmas and now I have a new set in these coming days.
Well, after this week I’ll be going back to school. But we will be able to RP…just not so frequently I suppose. Though since time zones kind of work in my favor at times, we may be able to RP as frequent. I don’t know.
I’ve got a dead easy schedule, on mondays and wednesdays I’ve got from 9:30-2:30, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays i’ve got from 11:00 to 12:30.
Well if I get everyone’s time zone exactly, I can work my program around that.
Again, EST.
State helps a bit more lol.
Good old SC.
Pacific Standard Time. So I am three hours behind you.
What is SC?
The great state of South Carolina!
Well, I don’t know how it was possible. But I’ve just mace windud Candall lol.
Well, he is wearing a metal helmet. Though most armor won’t shock you as long as you wear a gambeson, the gambeson and cloif does not protect the face (hence need of helmet). So lightning would go directly to his face and knocked him out. At least, that’s how I interpret it.
I feel so sorry for your character…I need to make up to him. He always gets the short end of the stick lol.
It’s my own fault! I tried to make a reasonably powered character, like how I do with DnD stuff, so he just keeps coming into bad situations against powerful supernatural foes. I expect the party to pick up where he fails, like how DnD parties usually work.
Though I will admit, the amount of enemies with platemail (a very expensive type of armor, hence why Candall only has a breastplate and helm) who can cut past chain and try to cut into plate armor (which, unless using something like a halberd, normal swords or spears cannot pierce into easily) that Candall is using is a bit unrealistic, but I’ve rolled with it because I like the drama of a story. Also, I’m used to just obeying the GM, since it’s good RPG etiquette.
Plus, CR’s always there to pull him out, right? This makes it twice CR’s saved him now?
hey, think of it this way.
More character development.
Heck, this is basically what happened to my first RP character Geet. He would end up in a medical facility more than once for good reason, one of them being the loss of his arm, albeit I don’t think Candall has lost limbs yet.
Indeed.
He nearly did, to that undead!
I admit, it’s a bit of a character archetype I constantly play in RPGs. A middle-aged man, with one HUGE glaring mechanics flaw, who constantly struggles and overcomes. It’s fun to me.
An example is my current DnD Bard, named Pontius. He’s an aasimar, a usually OP race for combat, but I gave him a weak combat class (Lore Bard). He’s physically not great with HP either, but man does he carry the party in support. So I nerfed the race for combat, but I focus on the strengths and struggle in weakness. He’s also a Chronicler RP-wise, focusing on my DM’s lore. (Fitting of my name and major, I know.) It’s fun!
It helps, though, that I understand medieval combat very well. Hence why Candall has been using the edge of his sword, the pommel, to hit well-armored foes, a technique they used constantly. He’s also been protective of his legs and head because those are the most vulnerable part of the combatant. It’s also why he has gone after enemy’s kneecaps, because 1) funny Irish/Scottist stereotype, and 2) it’s a legitimate combat strategy to disable your foes.
@MichaelBT-7474 is Will unconscious?
Nope, but now you get to see his face finally!
