The "Let's build JtO Makuta" topic

I’m not sure I understand?

I need to take apart my Makuta to make the JtO Makuta, meaning, if I need to take apart the set, so be it.

Cool, speaking of which, I just got a whole load of parts in the mail for my Makuta. I’ll post the finished thing eventually.

Help me.

Everything should be ready by next week… so let’s see how this goes!
Please based @Cyber-Hand… have mercy on my wallet

Why not order the parts on Bricklink?

Because why not get extra parts?

Still can’t figure out how to connect the body ribcage… is it by a small bone?

After being very disapointed with Lego not releasing a Makuta set, it is great to see this! Good work to everyone involved in this!

The timing of whoever posted those instructions is awful. Couldn’t have he released them before I made the whole model???

Sorry I’m feeling depressed right now…

Hey, it’s not like your makuta is worse than this one. The back coverage is far better, and it does exactly what you set out to do

I’m very excited that with these instructions along with @Cyber-Hand s mask, I’ll finally be able to make this beast.

I also very much admire the work @Altair put in. You made an awesome Makuta that was remarkably similar to the official build, and some people have said they even like it better than the original!

Oh, and @Cyber-Hand

I want to say we’ve accomplished the goal here, but someone still needs to post pictures of clearer instructions. Because right now, those shoulders and gold coattail things have no reference for how to build them.

For me, the pictures show everything but the center of the upper torso… I went “screw it” and found a way around it, but that’s where I think we need more pictures.

Now that we can almost 100% Replicate Makuta, should one of us start an ideas project? I know it probably cont work but it’s worth a shot right? I think Lego themselves even recommended it on their Twitter.

Hold up. Makuta uses 8 claws total. Meaning… he probably uses 2 Ikirs.

Doesn’t Kulta have four?

Not from what I can remember.

Ikir’s Shadow Trap also uses the same claw piece so that’s 8, 4 for each hand

Oh thank you! But it’s 3 on each hand, 2 on ikir’s head

Oh, okay, thought the claws were used only on the hands.
