Alright update guys. I just bought Cyber’s MUP in white polished as he recommended it. I will than spray paint it gold, as I’ve heard some rumors (I don’t remember where) that Lego might have 3d printed there’s and spray painted it (would explain the off-gold).
Guess, I’ll buy 2 at some point then, one to be painted black and the other gold.
I just wanted to replicate Lego’s official model, and I already have Tumbleweeds in black.
Oh how is his model? Do you have any pictures of it?
It’s coming in the mail,
I’m hoping it’s here by Thursday, But as soon as I finish spray painting it I will for sure take a load of photos and post them hear and on the topic specifically for the mask.
Wait did you mean photos of tumbleweeds? I have those
Yes. Exactly! I mentioned that multiple times earlier and nobody said anything so I thought I might’ve lost a balljoint.
But I looked at the parts counts of all the sets and you do need one more than is available.
At least it’s only a single piece extra and a fairly common one, I’m sure everyone can find a spare one.
Ugh… I checked bricklink and for the parts alone to build this it’s gonna cost me upwards of $75. I already have an extra LoSS to use, but if I have to spend so much on parts, I might as well just buy the whole sets.
it will cost you $125 to buy all the sets (since you already have an extra LOSS)
Is there any picture of him compared to Umarak’s size?
P.D.: will we get an instruction book?
Are there any extra balljointed pieces that can sub in for the one missing piece?
I’m sure this is still on topic, but has anyone tried replicating this form of Makuta from JtO? I really wish I could get that chest print from the show.
I haven’t tried yet, I’m considering it though.
Outside of colour kopakas chest is pretty good
@Toa_Kasai I did my best to make it accurate and keep the swinging arm action feature.
@Calebmar12 What was really tough was the way his shoulders looked in the animation, and translating that into the pieces I needed. It’s pretty much a custom torso with the gearbox as a frame for it.
Edited for Double Post - Waj
I’ve solved the problem by doing this:
(do not mirror the design for the shoulders, just build it twice and attach it to the sockets, otherwise the Shadow Trap parts will clash with the ball joints)
Also, @Mate397, you asked, so…
And, @Asriel, you asked for this not long ago, so there you go:
Quite frankly it looks pretty bad.
I don’t understand how not mirroring the shoulders leaves you with one less ball piece. Could you please explain? Thanks.
The “not mirroring the shoulders” is just so that the Shadow Trap parts (since they’re asymmetrical) don’t clash with the ball joints.
As you can see, I’ve replaced a ball joint with one of those 3 long beams with a ball joint in the middle, since there were a ton of those left out.
Got it. Thank you! Now to wait for the sets to get here!
Great!
Just buy the sets needed to build him, build him again, and send him to me! (my wallet is empty from buying the rest of the 2016 Winter Wave).
P.S. I will also need the pieces to build Agil the Creature of Light and the FMoUP from shapeways…and in 14k Gold please.
LOL-
But seriously, this JtO Makuta Combi-model really finishes the BIONICLE G2 Collection.
What do all the villains look like together?
