The "Look What I Just Got!" Topic

Im not sure what the racks for yet, but its definitley metal, not plastic like I thought it was from looking. It doesent seem to be attached with hardware so its probably stuck on with really strong adhesive or something

Same…
or at least make it possible to pirate a copy since Im already paying you anyways…

Speaking of netflix, appatently there was an awful adaptation of bebop there, so dont worry (@NOTaHFfan), I got the original series not that one

Isn’t he famously a nightmare to transform? (I’m also very jealous of that TFCC Heatwave.)

You’re thinking of Alternators Grimlock/Wheeljack
Shockwave’s actually super intuitive to transform and has almost the exact same transformation scheme as the Subaru Impreza mold

Heatwave was a stroke of luck, he was inexplicably loose in an eBay bundle with a bunch of junkers for £20

Let’s see if this still holds true 6 years later.
What phone is that? The color of the bezel looks quite nice, though that may also be the lighting.

I love this Vector Prime figure. He looks so good in that mold.

Finally got my hands on Galaxy Force Nitro Convoy

Still woulda preferred they made him a new mold but this is an acceptable compromise.
I do like the use of paint though

That’s pretty cool!

I just got the critcally acclaimed Evo Walker from the hit Xinh series, Hero6 STAR SOLDIER: INVASION FROM UNDER.

Seriously, who approved of this thing as a complete, finished set?

The minifigure is awesome, though. I’ve been curious about the invasion from below heroes for a while, and it does not disappoint! The mini Visorak are cool too, it’s fun how high they can jump.

While the Evo Walker as a model is bad, it has some nice parts. These double sockets seem particularily useful.

3 bucks at a flea market, I’m not complaining. Parts quality is excellent.

Now the only thing left to do is to provide against the children to eat…

I’ve asked myself that ever since the original set released

It’s such a hodgepodge

I feel like that honestly describes most of the non-humanoid mechs from those sets. The second wave had some pretty good spider mechs, but the Surge/Rocka combiner one was similarly kind of just a frame with armor and guns slapped on it.

Yeah, it really sucks in most ways possible. In the online videos, it’s shown at the very beginning as Evo investigates the first reports of things disappearing underground but the machine gets promptly overrun and dragged below. This leads me to believe they didn’t really need the set in their lineup so they just threw in some nice pieces, an HF minifigure, and the jumper figures to make an army-building set.

Just got home from a little excursion to Ollie’s where I picked up some good stuff:

It’s really interesting so far, although i haven’t finished reading it. More on-brand for me, we have:

Vintage Beast Wars Wolfang! I don’t know why they decided to reissue this guy along with Rattrap and Cheetor and the other characters who were actually in the show, but I guess they only had so many molds left. Ollie’s had, like, 10 of this guy, plus 20 of Iguanus and six of Terrorsaur. Oddly, even though he’s maybe twice the size as Iguanus and Terrorsaur, he was the same price- ten bucks. Here’s the mutant head gimmick up close:

He’s the only intact Beast Wars toy I own, even if he is a reissue, so it’s nice to have him in the house.

Philip K. Dick has a metaphysical diary? What on earth is in that

A lot. Did you know he saw the world as something called “the Black Iron Prison”? He also had these weird visions that once prophesied the future.

Also, forgot to mention it, but to go with the new gaming laptop I’m currently typing on, I got Monster Hunter: World on Steam. No pics obviously, since I got it digitally, but I’ve always wanted it and it was on sale for ten bucks. Runs like a dream and is tons of fun.
