4WD X-Track! I originally bought this roughly a month ago, but thanks to delays and delivery mishaps it only came around yesterday. It’s missing a boatload of pieces, though it cost a mere 5€ which was worth it for the motor and panels alone. The instructions stink (in a very literal sense, smells like they’ve been stored in a humid basement for years).

The car by itself is decent, it’s quick but still has respectable torque. The design is very simple and nothing outstanding, though it makes a nice basis for modification and improvements.
This model really begs to go outside and drive around on some pebbles. Once the weather allows it, I’ll give it a go!

As a follow-up to my last post, I cobbled together this simple humanoid mech. It’s nothing special, but I dare say it’s much better than the original Evo Walker.

I should stop going to flea markets, I never manage to go home without finding anything.

The lights and sounds on the airport fire truck are neat. It’s a very well-designed model throughout, and best of all, it still included a good battery!

The forklift is an example of a neat concept with flawed execution. Raising and lowering the forks with a chain is an interesting mechanism, but not a good one since it has too much friction and often gets stuck. That’s not just an issue with my copy, it’s a well-known problem in the set’s design. It’s also quite fragile, much more so than other sets of the era.

Still, it looks really good, and it’s Lego: even if everything else fails, it still has useful parts!

A positive surprise was the universal pneumatic set. I’ve only built the car lift so far (though I do plan on also building all the other suggested models), it’s really neat and unique - how many other times has Lego made a pneumatic car lift?

These two are very recent sets. I quite like the police car since I’m always a fan of pullbacks, and this one stands out just because of how flat it is (seriously, a driver would need to lay down in order to fit inside).
Bike is neat, it asks for a Matoran rider.

The box for the universal set is a work of art, I always love old Technic boxes. There were also instructions for two other sets I don’t have, though I should be able to build those if I wanted to.

On the digital side of things, I found a bunch of games. Haven’t started any of them yet, only turned them on to see if they work. Mario Party still has some impressive records on it!

Doing this on real hardware for the first time just felt good.

Sir Fangar! I bought him mainly because he was really cheap and has some nice parts, but the figure itself is a pleasant surprise. A few nitpicks here and there, but overall I like him much more than I would’ve expected.

I’ve been after this guy for awhile actually, some really good parts in there. plus that cape…

I am so unbelievably jealous. The second series of Chima buildable figures was never released in the US and I’ve never been able to get one shipped here.

The silhouette of this guy is stellar!

Joining the train of people who want this guy :P

Even though I’m in a country where he was released he’s still stupidly hard to find for a decent price
