Greg literally said he might give incorrect answers with incomplete information, and Gonel has made a strong case that he was operating on incomplete information. I definitely see why many interpret his words the way you do, but to state this issue is 100% clear is pretty clearly incorrect. If he was asked directly about the Mask of Emulation, that would make the situation clear, but as far as I’m aware he’s only been asked about the Hagah masks as a set and I’ll refer back to Gonel’s topic on why that’s potentially an issue.

Here’s the thing on the quote you provided: it applies to a scenario where he unintentionally contradicts the story due to not having all the info. That isn’t the case here. His answer to the kualus question contradicts the story, therefore it isn’t canon. His answer to the mask question contradicts nothing, therefore it’s canon.

I’m just tired of seeing the same, algorithmically-generated arguments reappear over and over. The last topic felt like it was being randomly generated by an AI a few times, there.

The shield in those two Hagah MOCs (Bomonga and Gaaki) isn’t attached to something gripped in the center of the hand, but rather attached to the outside of a piece which may as well be considered part of the hand. So no, not ‘held’.

That statement contradicts the fact that Iruini has a mask that doesn’t follow the same rule as Norik’s. The questioner asks about the ‘other Hagah,’ perhaps unaware of Greg’s answer concerning Iruini on a prior Ask Greg question. He only asks with respect to Norik and gets an answer that only takes Norik into account.
Not exactly. The question uses Norik as an example; it doesn’t try to imply that Iruini is like Norik, or that Norik is the only example.
“Do the other Hagah have different-shaped masks? For example, like how Norik’s mask is differently-shaped”.
You can call it a leading question, but it isn’t contradictory to anything.
It would be like if I asked “Do all of the Toa Hagah have Metru builds like Vakama?”
I’m using Vakama as an example of a Metru build; I’m not trying to imply that that’s the only build.

No. It does not.
The question is “do the other Toa Hagah…” Not “the other Hagah besides Norik”. When two of the Hagah have known Mask shapes, " the other Hagah " can only mean “the other four besides Norik and iruini”. It only contradicts iruini if you intentionally interpret it wrong.

Based upon the current ruleset, I’m seeing a few objective disqualifications waiting to happen:
- The metallic shinguards on Bomonga and Pouks aren’t allowed
- Bomonga needs metallic feet
- Gaaki and Kulaus’s “masks” are a no-go
Additionally, Bomonga could run into trouble with his shoulders not being metallic enough and his metallic torso armour being too low, but those are more subjective decisions that should be made by TTV.
It’s not just that it can mean that; it does mean that. When the question opened with “the other Hagah”, Norik hadn’t even been used as an example yet; grammatically, there’s no reason to believe that it means “everyone except Norik”.

It’s not part of the rules, but I will say: I won’t vote for any entry with an HF 1.0 helmet, like what Stringer has, as they have the little microphone and camera. I imagine many people will agree, so use those at your own risk.
(and yes, I know someone’s gonna say “masks are placeholder”, but the art isn’t required to change the masks and I imagine many art entries won’t do so for this contest, considering the unique nature of the Hagah’s masks. I’d rather vote for a moc that doesn’t need the mask change to suit my preferences, then one that does)

The feet thing and the masks were obviously, I’ve already switched those out. Bomonga’s shins were also an easy fix. I’m more worried about his chest armor and Gaaki’s shoulder armor than anything else. Oh yeah, and Pouks’ coloration. And Gaaki’s yellow. I think that’s it. I’m already going to change the shields, so I don’t need to worry about those. Anyway, thanks for your feedback. And yours as well @Willess12

Also, @T4k4nuv4, I quite like your Kualus, especially how you did the shins and torso. I’d recommend changing the thighs, I doubt many people will vote for a MOC that uses plain CCBS shells.

Oh shoot, I didn’t even notice that. That’s a really creative use of those connection points on the torso. No idea how that’ll go down with the rules though.
I think (?) TTV has said that secondary colours will be allowed; these rules only specify that the Rahaga’s primary colour must be used, not that it be the only non-metallic colour. Now, Gaaki’s yellow might be stretching it a bit, but that’s not my call.
(I also think it’s worth noting the rarity of the thigh piece in the Hagah colours; brown was only available in Roporak, white only came in Pridak, and black ones don’t exist. Blue is more common.
If you’re willing to use the newer style, you get white ones in 2008 Takanuva, and black is very common. No brown ones though.)
I suppose I could switch them out for the piece of unity. Also, thanks, unfortunately I have to switch out the mask. Currently it’s just stormer’s helmet but I’m not a big fan of it on him. I suppose I could use Rocka’s helmet, that might look good
