Intro and Design Notes
This was made for fun, but then I realized I could add them to the list of @Senit’s Toa team collab.
So hear me out I never really liked the Toa Inika. Their weapons are very same-y, their builds aren’t too exciting and their masks are atrocious. But what I like the least about them is the Inika build. As someone who got into Bionicle around 2008-2009, the Inika just aren’t as exciting as other Toa teams. See for most Bionicle fans, they see the Glatorians as using an Inika build. But I see the Inika as using a Glatorian build. Which canonically, is an accurate statement. Canonically, the Toa Inika should’ve looked like the Toa Nuva, due to how Toa transformations work. Now I know “tHe REd sTaR gAve tHeM AN uNUsuaL tRanSForMatiOn” excuse was made, but I’ve always seen that as well, an excuse. It’s a shotty explanation for the set designers ignoring canon rules.
So let’s follow canon rules. sorta.
Design Notes
- All use the Toa Nuva build with minor variation
- All use inorganic fan-made designs of their canon Kanohi
- Weapons are either from Bionicle Heroes, or loosely based off sets
- Original color schemes are kept. They’re weird but they’re fun.
- Purism was not factored in here. The only “pure” Toa is Matoro. Huh.

“You may look like a hero,
You may feel like a hero,
You may be one Inika, you may be many,
You may have new masks, new armor, new equipment,
You may activate your powerful light-up sword…
and load your multi-shot zamor launcher,
But it’s not what you got, it’s what you do with it,
That makes you a hero…”
“Bionicle presents…
Six new Inika heroes!
Each set sold seperately.”
