Going on to my third Hagah build, here is Toa Kualus! This is probably the most custom of the four, and while I know some want these to follow the Hagah set builds much more closely, I thought this looked nice.

While I totally get and support making your entries stand out from others, I find it kinda hard to recognize this as a Toa Hagah. As far as I can tell the only similarity you have is the metru torso piece. I’m not saying that you should make a clone of the originals, but I feel there’s a lot you could do to make this more recognizably hagah while still being unique.

Totally agree, that being said I wouldn’t be to unhappy if this became the canon version of kualus; it looks very nice.

Though I associate the Rode with Axonn, I really find myself loving this build. It’s got enough shared DNA with Norik and Iruni to be recognizable, but it has some nice touches that improve on the Metru build. I’m really in love with that spear! Nicely done!

I quite like this as a MoC, but not as Kualus, I’m afraid. I like that you’re trying to vary the Hagah look (not all just flat Metru builds) but if you’re going to experiment, it would be much more exciting to see some playing with proportions and whatnot - rather than creating a similar silhouette with different parts. That almost defeats the point of deviating from a Metru build, at least the way I see it.
That said, I do quite like the spikey “icicle” aesthetic he’s got going, and that’s a very nice choice of part for the spear - suitable and underappreciated. Colour scheme is nothing flashy, but it’s also quite nice.
