Transformers: Dawn of a New Age

Nova quickly raised her sheild to cover Gungnir’s torso, keeping pace with the ship as they moved through the air.
Sure! Just throw me at the ship. That’s a perfect plan! What could possibly go wrong?
Nova loudly complained. She rushed forward and tried to barge in through the open under-hatch, where the other mech had come out. All the while keeping her shield between her and the gatling gun.

“Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey!”
Maximus angrily shouted.

“Just what the hell do you think you’re doing!”
The predacon ran at the human group. With one hand he tried to back hand some of the troopers away, while with the other he tried to grab the techie and lift her up.

Oreo screams, “They’re entering the base! Gag-!”

He stopped suddenly, realizing what he said. It was the voice from his nightmares.
“Razor, we’re under attack,” he said into a comlink on his left wrist as the humans landed on the ship’s hull. Without listening for a reply, he drew his Overcharger, loading it with a large Energon cartridge.
“Stand back!!”
He aimed the weapon at the human dropship, its empty cargo bay an inviting target.

The sword-wielder deftly steps to the side, then swings his sword at the elbow of Stonefist’s outstretched arm. Behind the rocky bot, the giant and the three troopers around him run up to circle around the cybertronian.

The dropship is not large enough for Gungnir to fit inside, but Nova is able to grab onto its tail. The dropship lurches, its pilots now having to struggle against Gungnir’s added weight, while the gunner inside the troop bay opens fire upon the mech’s head.

The dropship’s pilots now target Oreo with the craft’s nose gun, but their aim is thrown off by Gungnir attempting to board their vehicle. Bullets rake across the hull by Oreo’s feet, but leave him unharmed.

The techie slides a finger across her wrist-computer, and one of the drones darts in front of Maximus. It projects a hard-light shield in front of the predacon, which catches his fists before they can strike their intended targets. Two of the troopers peak out from behind the shield: one shoots at Maximus’s eyes with his rifle, while the other launches a micro-rocket at his torso.

Bullets pelt against the machine’s face, covering it in dents and scratching the paint. One lucky bullet managed to go perfectly through its left eye, shattering the lense.

Oh come on! I just fixed that!
Nova furiously shouted. With her free hand grabbed on to the tail of the dropship, she tried to drive the bladed end of her sheild into the ship’s engines.

Maximus put an open hand over his face. The large size of his gauntlet adding an extra area of protection.

The micro missile struck his gut dead on. He stumbled a step back and doubled over just a bit.

The predacon’s face sneered into an angry growl.
“Lousy tricks!”
Once there was a break in the fire he balled up his free fist, and threw a full force gauntlet clad punch into the energy shield.

LD-L1 spat and waved away the nanobots, but they were nothing more of an annoyance so far. However, this delayed him enough that the rocket would strike home. It would slam into his side, detonating in a ball of flame and force. While his body was very resistant to physical damage, an explosion is an explosion, and a considerable chunk was taken out of his side, his purple ichor weeping profusely from the wound.

The follow up of the shots at his legs served merely to anger him, and he roared in a challenge. His war mask deployed, giving him a much more sinister appearance. He gripped the ground, and slung himself feet-first at the heavy weapons operator, his own extreme strength combined with his power-fists would give him enough speed it would be difficult to see him, let alone shoot him.

Kitai uses his wings to boost himself, whirling into the mechs back, digging his claws deep into the armor, while subsequently draining enormous amounts of energy to repair his injuries.

The sword’s electrical charge had little effect on Stonefist’s thick, rocklike armor, but it still proved to be an irritation. Grunting angrily at the annoying humans, the gray-armored transformer spun around and lashed out with more hits, this time deliberately trying to crush them or throw them off the ship.

The engine explodes in a great fireball, raining bits of flaming debris down upon the Pulsar and those battling atop her hull. The human ship begins a crazed spiral downward, careening away from the yacht as its pilots do what little they can to guide their craft into a crash landing.

The shield breaks, shattering like glass, and its glowing shards dematerialize. The drone that had created it pulls back, in time for another to erect an identical barrier in front of the troopers. Three of the attackers each launch a rocket at Maximus, aiming for his torso and legs.

Two more of the techie’s drones project additional shielding around the gathered troopers, giving them cover to hide behind as the woman continues her work.

Indeed, the heavy gunner hasn’t the reflexes to evade LD-L1’s flying kick. The cultist slams into the armored human, and there is a bright flash of light as the force of the impact instantly breaks through the suit’s energy shields and sends the man skidding across the hull. The two troopers next to him are sent flying, their armor shattering from the blow. It would be most unpleasant to consider what shape their bodies may be in within their suits.

The nanobots race after LD-L1, and the trooper that had flanked the cultist fires another rocket at him before running to join his comrades by one of the Pulsar’s hatches. Ahead of LD-L1, two troopers by the hatch shoot at the cultist with their rifles, aiming for the damaged spot on his side.

The swordsman fires his suit’s thrusters and slides beneath Stonefist’s arm, evading his fist. He sprints around the rocky bot’s right side, and fires his grappling hook at the cybertronian’s back. If the hook is able to pierce Stonefist’s armor, the swordsman will try to hoist himself onto the robot’s back.

The giant and his three accomplices draw their rifles and shoot at Stonefist, aiming for the bot’s eyes and neck. The other five troopers that had been with the swordsman run for the Pulsar’s hatch, where the rest of the enemy force seems to be gathering.

OOC: this is an autohit. I’ll let it slide this time, but please be more mindful of how you word your posts going forward.

IC: Kitai’s claws further shred the armor that had already been half-melted by LD-L1’s laser, and the mech’s limbs freeze up as the hybrid saps power from its batteries. The robot’s cockpit opens, and the pilot inside pushes her controls aside and draws a submachine gun from a compartment beside her. Flicking the weapon’s safety off, she squeezes the trigger and shoots at Kitai’s face.

OOC: Whoops. Sorry bout that. Got ahead of myself.
IC: The bullets hit Kitai in his jaw, stinging him. He reaches for the pilot, intending to pluck the pilot from the cockpit.

LD-L1 ignored it all, the bullets simply bounced off his back, and his continued momentum brought him out of the travel-path of the rocket. Instead, he hit the ground running, and refused to slow down, intending to not just catch the gunner and pin him into the ground, but smash his skull in with his fists.

Maximus roared in anger. He moved one hand to cover his mid section, but didn’t have time to protect his legs. The micro missile hit his leg and he fell down to one knee.

Nova meanwhile let go of the out of control dropship. She then turned her attention to the small squad on the hull that Maximus was dealing with. Using her airborne height to her advantage, she aimed her sheild at the sheield drones and fired two shells. One at the drone defending the techie, and another at one of the side drones. Though with Gungnir’s damaged eye her aim might not be perfect.

The swordsman’s harpoon is unable to penetrate Stonefist’s rocky armor, but unfortunately for the gray robot, it still manages to catch. The other four humans’ shots hit him, but have little effect, due to his rocky shell. Stonefist grunts again, as it has been made abundantly clear his usual approach to combat isn’t quite working. He transformed into his alt mode to try and throw the harpoon off, and starts rolling for the warriors near the Pulsar’s hatch.

Oreo finds a door to the outside of the hull. With his cannon having finally charged, he aims at the group of humans. But as he prepares to blast them, one of the troopers fires a burst from his machine gun at the Transformer, causing his blast to go wild, hitting the ground in front of them. This causes a massive explosion, and sends metal fragments flying everywhere.

Razor is at the bridge by this point, as Oreo’s alert had awakened her. She goes to find a way to the outside to help him.

OOC: all good.

IC:

Kitai seizes the pilot and pulls her from the mech’s cockpit. Defiantly, she draws a knife and begins to stab at the hybrid’s fingers, hoping to free herself from his grip.

One of the hard light shields projected by the techie’s drones swings into LD-L1’s path, intercepting cultist before he can splatter the heavy gunner and the other troopers. The shield appears to fracture from the impact, a jagged crack running across its form. Behind the shield, the heavy gunner limps over to his comrades- his suit’s shielding and whatever other shock-absorbing mechanisms it has kept him from being turned to paste within it, but only barely.

The swordsman retracts the cable as soon as it catches on Stonefist, but the rocky bot quickly transforms and dislodges it. The armored human sails through the air, missing his target, and he has to use his thrusters to recover from this gaffe and land again on the Pulsar’s hull.

While Stonefist barrels toward the rest of the enemy force clustered around the hatch, the giant and his three accomplices follow him. They make no effort to shoot at Stonefist as they run, instead firing their thrusters to rejoin their comrades quickly. The congregation is protected by three hard light shields projected by hovering drones, and the troopers are huddling behind them while they reload their weapons and wait for the techie to complete her hack.

One shell strikes a drone and destroys it. A trooper is caught in the ensuing explosion and killed; the blast shreds her armor and shrapnel pierces the undersuit beneath it. The shot aimed for the techie and her drone, however, misses. It strikes the Pulsar’s hull and explodes in front of another shield, keeping the troopers safe.

Seeing Gungnir menacing his comrades from the air, the swordsman engages his suit’s enhanced thrusters and jumps, firing his grappling hook at the mech’s leg.

(@ProfSrlojohn @MakutaOisli @MaxinePrimal @Rukah @DuneToa)The techie’s data spike chirps, and the hatch begins to slide open. The three remaining enemy drones emit bright flashes of light in erratic patterns in an attempt to blind our heroes, while the heavy gunner launches another nanobot grenade to create a smokescreen around the airlock. The giant, the techie, and five of the troopers jump down into the Pulsar’s interior, while the other five troopers and the heavy gunner form a circle and shoot at our heroes, aiming for eyes, joints, or any wounds that they might have sustained in the battle so far. The heavy gunner targets Kitai in particular, firing a beam from his laser weapon at the hybrid’s torso in an attempt to rescue the mech pilot he’d seized in his grip.

Slamming the drone away, he looks around for his targets, his bloodlust slowly receding. As he noticed them beginning to enter the craft, he dashed towards the hatch, paying little heed to the flashing lights and any non-explosive projectiles. He would barrel into the cloud, simply moving forward and not bothering to try and navigate it, as he knew that would be a futile effort. As soon as he reached the other side, if he did so, he would grab for the nearest soldier and attempt to crack their back and toss his body into the feet of his comrades.

Due to still being in his alternate mode, Stonefist is unaffected by the drones’ light flashes, nor the gunner’s smokescreen. Grunting mentally, he sonar scanned the immediate area. This isn’t looking good, the gray-armored bot thought, better warn Aralysa. With that in mind, he activated an in-built communication device and contacted his friend.
Meanwhile, inside the Pulsar, Aralysa was getting a bit tired of just standing around when she got a message from Stonefist. She turned to the others still in the bridge.
“Stonefist just sent me a message. It seems we’re about to have some company.” At that statement, she activated her energy saber and tried accessing the ship’s systems to see where the breach, and the invaders, were.

Nova was able to notice the grappling hook and moved accordingly. She flew backwards, giving the hook more time to travel through the air, while moving down at the same time. Until she was at a point where the cable moved just past Gungnir’s head. And with both hands she attempted to grab on to the grappling cable.

If successful, she would spin Gungnir in an attempt to throw the Swordsman off the ship.

Enraged, Maximus transformed into his beast mode and blindly spit several bolts of lighting into the smokescreen.

OOC: Where exactly in the interior are they?

The knife may break as it is clashing against armored metal fingers, but Kitai simply ignores the stabbing. " Who are you? And why are you here?"

Razor sees a blast door slide shut at the end of the hall. She wonders if the attackers have breached the Pulsar’s hull. Then she notices the hatch, torn off its hinges by Oreo as he went outside. She climbs up, noticing the others already engaged in deadly combat against troopers of about her size. Oreo is crouched behind a section of coolant pipes, recharging the Overcharger.
“Do you need a hand?”
The Mini-Con plugs a power cord into one of her gauntlets, allowing her to begin charging the cannon quickly. Oreo fires off a burst from his wrist gun at the troopers surrounding Gungnir, then fires the Overcharger at the techie.

“You have something our employer wants!” the mech pilot shouts above the fray, her voice deepened artificially by a modulator in her helmet.

OOC: don’t forget about this:

IC:

The trooper nearest to LD-L1 breaks formation and dashes to the side as the cultist sprints through the cloud. Maximus’s lightning bolts, meanwhile, electrify the nanomachine cloud and short out the remaining drones, as well. Three of the troopers on the outer hull are electrocuted and fall over- whether they are dead or simply unconscious, remains to be seen.

Assuming Stonefist is still barreling toward the hatch, he smashes through the hard light shield in a spectacular flash of light. One of the troopers behind the shield is bowled over and crushed beneath Stonefist; his suit’s plating crumples like a tin can, and it’s safe to say that he’s killed very quickly.

Stonefist’s sonar scan shows that the enemies inside the Pulsar are moving up toward the bow- toward the bridge. The heavy gunner and the surviving trooper on the outer hull jump down into the ship and join them.

Nova successfully grabs the cable and yanks the swordsman off his feet. The mercenary retracts the cable fires his thrusters, rocketing toward Gungnir. As he approaches the mech, he swings the sword at the mech’s neck.

The bullets from Oreo’s wrist gun strike the troopers’ suits, causing them to halt their advance. Before they can return fire, the Overcharger’s plasma payload lands in their midst and explodes. The techie is blown apart and killed in the blast, along with two of the troopers, and the rest of the enemy force is thrown against the walls of the corridor. An energy shield over the giant’s armor flairs as it absorbs the impact, and the mercenary launches a micro-rocket at Oreo in retaliation.

The invaders are currently in a corridor on Deck Three, though it seems as though Oreo and Razor are currently keeping them in place.
