Glancing at Low-Tide, XM-333 nodded. “I think I’m ready.”

“Take a look at this!” Roaster says as she spins around, gesturing to everything going on.

“There’s more than just dancing! There’s so much to see, hear, learn, play! It’s a massive party! Why miss this chance?”

In response, Tokamak has his engine rev up.

“There ain’t no better home than the road. And if the streets weren’t so crowded, I’d be racing right now.”

They nodded.
Got it. Thanks.

The bot turned to leave, but stopped short when they realized they hadn’t paid for the servo.
Sorry. How much for the neck piece?

“Yeah dude! Let’s get playing!”
Low-Tide said eagerly.

“Well, no. I’m the only member so far.”
Niko admitted somewhat reluctantly.
“But I don’t let that get me down much. I’m always looking for potential members.”
He added with a smile.

“What’s your name?” Firestorm asks.

"More patrons may mean more work, but it also means more profits,’ Maccadam says, “so I don’t complain. Besides, you don’t keep at a job as long as I have unless you love what you do. I get to meet all kinds of interesting characters- and with the exile over, I expect I’ll be seeing even more come by.”

“A street race through Iacon,” the human muses. “Now that would draw a crowd.”

“I bet it’d make this little party look tame in comparison,” the other cybertronian comments.

XM-333 and Low-Tide are quickly welcomed into the game, with one player on each team stepping out to make room for them. The referee resets the Cube and sets it down in the middle of the park, while the teams take up position around it.

“Darby,” says the human, “Jethro Darby. Pleased to meet you.”

Jethro was dressed in plainclothes, his grey shirt embossed with a bull’s skull emblem on the left shoulder. He had the beginnings of a beard growing on his face, and his hair was kept short and tidy.

“Five standard credits, I think?” the shopkeep replies. “I still haven’t memorized the conversation rates for the new currencies.”

Headcase reads over the documents to ensure that everything was good to go. Satisfied, he motions for Kitai to follow him into another room.

“Pleasure is all mine.” Firestorm says.

“Full disclosure: he’s totally geeking out on the inside.” Dark says.

“Oh please, I’m nothing to geek out over,” Jethro says modestly. “Heck, I’ve taken up enough of your time already. There’s probably another ancient evil that needs smiting somewhere.”

“Well, best of luck to you in your endeavors.” Conjoint replied, not actually caring. “You trying to hold down a gig here in Iacon, or are you traveling to other planets?”

“You kidding?” Dark asks, now separating and possessing the armor, “you are his first contact with humans.”

The adjacent room was a small chamber in which headcase practiced his craft. There was a table for Kitai to lie down on, and monitors to track both his and Headcase’s vitals. It was clean and well-lit.

“Am I?” says Jethro. “Well, I hope I’ve made a good impression on behalf of my species.”

“You have.” Firestorm says, “now, have you been to Maccadam’s yet?” He asks.

“It’s on my bucket list,” says Jethro. “It’s the envy of half the galaxy, from what I’ve heard.”

“Oh, it’s deserved that distinction in spades.” Firestorm says.

“I’m not an organic but your stuff is the closest taste of home. I’m sure you’ll do fine!” Machina smiled, “Even if you’re out of practice, I bet you’ll still make a good drink.”

Agyros Asrar slapped the sides of his face with both hands before slowly letting them drop. he muttered inaudibly before grinning, “Father would’ve wanted me to be better. I should… I should… uh… I guess make this trip not wasted!”

The silver predacon promptly turned around and walked off, muttering audibly, “Now where to?”

Jade Dragon was quick to salute, his form strictly following the customs of the Bellator in such an occasion. He sounded, “Jade Dragon, prime! Warrior of Bellator. I have come from my homeworld to see what example I might see and see what I might learn.”

He went ‘at ease’ before slightly bowing. The cybertronian spoke once more, “I came to this spot specifically for the reason that I am keenly interested in the martial arts that humans practice.”

Zip and Cargo

Cargo catches a glimpse of them speaking with Jade Dragon and stops in his tracks, causing Zip to run into him.

“Zip! It’s… it’s…”

"It’s what?!"

“By the Primes, is the Prime!”

Zip stares at his partner. “Aren’t there two, now?”

“Just… come on!” Cargo yells, dashing through the crowd. In order to follow him, Zip is forced to leap up and flutter his dragonfly wings, allowing him to trail his partner with uninterrupted agility.

Graves

“I was in a band…” Graves recalls. He frowns suddenly. “I’m in the army, now, if that’s any indication as to how my high school music career went.”

Conjoint’s head slowly rotated back towards Graves.

“What in the pits of Kaon is a ‘High’ School?” He mumbled. “Elevated or something?”

What does that even mean.

“What does that even mean.” Conjoint deadpanned.
