Bulkhead eventually managed to free himself, rocketing backwards with an excessive amount of built up momentum.
“I appreciate the concern… but really, I’m fine…”
“No, you are most definitely not fine. And I won’t leave this room until I’ve done everything I can to help.”
Demolishor said, crossing his arms. It was clear he was very serious about this.
In that case, Tie-Grabber remains the one who goes about cleaning and sorting items and minor room repairs. Railgun gets on the table and on top of Warpath, looking him over to determine the extent of the wounds. Machbreaker looks around at the equipment to see if the Autobot was already scanned or if anything that could provide such scans.
As Railgun looks him over he asks, “Krink?” “Who beat him?”
“Wzip!” “Ivory!” Machbreaker swiftly replies.
“Whir?! Whir crink.” “The piano man?! Warpath lost to the piano. Ha.” Tie-Grabber says.
“Krink krin.” “So much for an elite status.” Railgun commented, looking over the bot’s structure.
Rest assured, the three were certainly surprised to find such a high class bot here. However, also being here kind of destroyed the allure of his status. Though with the announcement of the next fight involving Oddball, Tie-Grabber pauses to watch. Just shortly, returning to tasks and glancing up at the screen every chance he got.
There was a large open gash in his chest, which while notable, wouldn’t be the cause of his paralysis.
There was a medical scanner near the operating table, attached to an articulated arm which was mounted to the wall. It could be easily moved into position so the minicons could get a reading on Warpath.
“I stand to disagree! I’m fine!”
Demolishor was taken aback. He’d never seen Juliana so dower, and he’d especially never seen her angry.
“Well… If you insist…”
He replied, feeling more than a little dejected.
“I guess I’ll just leave you be then.”
With that the decepticon stood up and walked out.
“why.” She says.
Demolishor stopped at the door. Visibly confused.
“Why what?”
He asked.
“why do we have to fight? What’s the point? I used to understand… but this contest… it… It just doesn’t make any sense…”
“I don’t know. This whole tournament feels strange. Out of nowhere really.”
Demolishor paused as he thought things over, then perked up as he remembered something.
“Hey, remember when Iota came into the commons a few days ago? When he looked all panicked?”
“Somewhat?”
“Call it a hunch, but maybe all of this has something to do with that?”
Oddball flattens himself- literally reshaping himself into a wide, thin sheet of metal lying on the ground to allow Bulkhead to roll over him.
Machbreaker grabs that scanner and moves it over Warpath, primarily scanning the chest area first. Railgun inspects the chest cannon to see if it is still properly intact and other damage it may have caused.
“Whir?” “Hey, isn’t it quiet?” Tie-Grabber asks and looks at the fight, “Whirm?” “And empty?”
The other two pause for a moment, listening. Even from here, the cheering, jeer, and mockery of the crowds should have been heard. Yet nothing.
Silence.
They resume from their frozen reality, but now this was starting to really bug Railgun. Just what are you doing Iota?
Bulkhead raced over Oddball. He locked his brakes and came to a screeching halt. He then transformed into robot mode and shifted his hand to the wrecking ball once more. Though he was starting to look a little winded.
The chest wound was deep, but not serious. And the cannon was just fine. However, the scan would also reveal a critical injury in his back.
Oddball draws some of his mass back into himself, forming two spikes that jab upward at Bulkhead’s feet.
Bulkhead manages to see the spikes before he steps on them, and instead launches his wrecking ball. Spinning it above his head and then slamming it down where Oddball was.
“Why? What could cause that? It’s not the first time I’ve seen him nervous, but that’s never caused me too… it’s never caused a tournament like this.”
“He’s been nervous, but he’s never been so panicked that he actually come down here.”
Demolishor turned around to face Juliana.
“Look, I’m not the smartest 'con around. Everybody knows it. But the timing just sticks out to me. Something scared him so bad that he actually ran down here to address us in person. Then just a couple days later he starts up a rapid fire tournament with no audience. One really weird thing isn’t very special. But two really weird things happening really close together. Maybe they’re related?”
