“Right. Repair first, plan later.”
Nebula said with a nod. She helped Railgun out of the training arena and towards the medical ward.
Oddball nods his head and whistles in agreement.
Railgun remains quiet, or at least mostly quiet, as they make their way there. In part because of pain and in part in attempts to not further embarrass himself with whatever maddening ideas were filling his head. Though thanks to Nebula, he doesn’t have any major falls or stumbles, making it to the medical ward.
Once the two are gone from the training area, the three data discs return to their master. Rejoining him, with Overclock in particular getting some much needed repairs.
Railfire looked at the two as they walked in. Ramjet had already been repaired and left. He needed no explanation. He simply picked up Railgun and gently set him on his work counter, and set to repairing the damaged minicon.
Nebula jumped up so she could watch.
She beeped a quick and panicked sentence, speaking in minicon so that the medic wouldn’t find out about the bot in the training arena.
“Okay, so what the hell are we gonna do?! We have to tell someone right? But is that worth the risk? There’s no way we can handle this guy on our own.”
“I’m curious though. What was your favorite part of the play?”
Zed asked. He realized it wouldn’t exactly be easy for Oddball to effectively give a response, but he figured it was worth asking anyway.
“I’m…not sure.”
Railgun pauses as he mulls it over, the repairs certainly helping in clearing his head. "If that was him…he has changed a lot. That wasn’t his style back on Cybertron…Though even if he has been posing as the combat sim this whole time, I don’t know how he would find out…Well, maybe not tell Clawshot, but I know my brothers wouldn’t repeat it.
If we talk and we have enough bots on our side, it shouldn’t be a problem to put him down. But who would believe a couple Mini-Cons that their training room has been another bulk? Even if we do talk, without something to backup our claim we’ll just seem crazy. We’ve been here how long and only now someone has figured out it’s another Transformer? It sounds like madness, they’ll laugh about it, and he’ll come for us…"
Nebula thought for a moment. Then an idea popped into her head.
“What about Maximus? That bulk I paired with. Call it a hunch but he seems like the type who’s crazy enough to believe us.”
“Perhaps.” Railgun replied. “And with him comes the firebird. We’ll need more than those two if he controls the combat simulations. Or somehow get Maximus to use more tactful approach and end the fight before it begins.”
“The bird bot I don’t trust as much, but we need any help we can get. As for tact, that’s one thing Maximus really lacks from what I’ve seen. So we’ll need to seriously talk him through this before making any moves.”
Nebula replied.
“And what will we ask him to do? Kill him? I doubt Maximus has it in him. Just incapacitate him and hope we can keep him imprisoned?” Railgun asked.
“I wouldn’t be so sure. Didn’t you see that fight about a week ago? He nearly scrapped Jetfire. I’m sure he can handle this guy.”
“When he was out of his mind, he’ll have no motivation this time. And in his right mind, he rather help everyone escape here, not stop a madman.” Railgun replied.
“Hm. I guess you’re right. But we won’t know for sure until we talk to him.”
Oddball warbles out something Zed couldn’t understand and thrust his arms forward, similar to how the actress playing Titania had done in the final act.
“So the final betrayal? Yeah, that’s great. One of the biggest moments in our history as a matter of fact.”
Zed said cheerfully.
Meanwhile the raptor-predacon Razorclaw found Backbreaker in the commons.
“Yo. Fire breather. You got a minute?”
She asked as she approached.
Oddball nods as he continues to keep up with Zed.
Backbreaker steps out of the medical bay.
“Yeah.” he shrugs. “Whaddya need?”
Before long the two made it back to the colosseum. Zed thought about just going through the main entrance, but that had its own slew of risks.
“You don’t by chance have any way of flying do you?”
He asked.
Razorclaw leaned against the wall, trying to look as casual as she could.
“Its about that bird bot. The one Maximus is always hanging with. What do you think of her? More specifically how easy do you think she’d be able to take down in a fight?”
Oddball shakes his head. He didn’t understand what Zed meant by that question, and cocks his head to the side in curiosity.
Backbreaker shrugs.
“I dunno,” he says. “She looks like she can take care of herself, at least. Don’t think I’ve ever seen her in action, actually.”
“You know, flying? As in taking off of the ground? Look I just wanna know if you have any way of getting back up the trash chute. Because if Iota finds out that one of you guys escaped on my watch, I’m dead.”
Zed sounded noticeably panicked.
“Yeah, neither have I.”
Razorclaw admitted. There was a noticeable hint of disdain in her voice. It was subtle, but definitely there.
“I’m sure I could still take her down though.”
“Ooooooh…”
Oddball nods his head quickly. He couldn’t fly, but he bet he could just climb back up the trash chute. He reshapes his cuffed arm, thinning his hand and wrist to slip out of the shackles as he scurries over to the nearest dumpster.
“What’s this about?” Backbreaker asks, raising an eyebrow.
They were within sight around the side of the building.
Zed followed with a quick worried pace.
“I’m trusting you little guy. Please don’t run off on me.”
“Nothing in particular really. I just don’t trust her all that much.”
She replied.
