“Somewhat, though he’s not the only one”

Oddball clambers up the dumpster and reforms his hands into blades. He reaches up and stabs one of them into the wall of the trash chute above.

“What?” Backbreaker replies. “What’s wrong with her?”

“I will admit overconfidence does seem to be a bit of a common some of us. But luckily our young predacon friend has someone like me to keep him in check. And in turn… I have enjoyed his company more than I expected.”
The medic admitted hesitantly.

Zed sighed and walked off, back to the main entrance, thankful that Oddball didn’t try to run off.

He opened the door and was greeted by Gamma, his partner. She stood with her arms crossed, looking generally displeased.
“Sure were gone for a while. Did you catch the prisoner?”

“Yeah yeah. He’s back inside. Just please don’t tell the boss!”

“Relax. I told him you were on break. Now get back in here so we can get back to work.”

“Easy. She’s a Maximal. Never met one that I could trust. She seems too nice ya know?”
Razorclaw said.

“Honestly I don’t see what any self respecting pirate would see in her.”

She muttered under her breath.

“Fair. Let’s find him then…once my repairs are done.” Railgun answered, almost with a sigh near the end.

After just a few more minutes Railfire finished his repair work and helped him to his feet.
“All finished. I’m to glad finally return the favor after all you’ve done for me.”

Railgun gives him an appreciative salute in return. He then hops down and heads out to the commons area with Nebula to try and find Maximus.

Maximus and Axis were in their shared cell. Maximus was laying down and flipping through images projected out one of his three eye lenses.

Nebula walked up to them, standing just outside the cell. She started tapping her foot, catching both of their attention. Maximus turned off his projector and the two minicons.

“We got something to talk about.”
Nebula said.

“I think it’s a soldier thing.”

Railgun is about to speak, but then briefly looks between Nebula and Axis. He didn’t have the tablet with him at the moment, so he was not sure which one would translate for him. He mentally shrugs and speaks his normal crunching sound bites.

“We have identified a potential threat to the escape mission. The threat is too great for us Mini-Cons to handle alone. Just by mentioning this, we are putting our teams’s lives at risk.” Railgun said.

“I suppose.”
Railfire said.
“Though anyone who managed to make it out of that terrible war alive deserves a bit of confidence if you ask me.”

“Sounds serious.”
Axis said.
“What’s up?”

“Wait, you can understand him like that?”
Maximus asked.

“Yeah. Translation software remember?”
Axis said.

“Oh right. Forgot about that.”
The predacon replied.

“Hold on. Give me a second.”
Axis tapped something on the side of her head, and Maximus visibly perked up. He then turned to Railgun.

“Alright little guy. Try saying something.”
He said excitedly.

“Funny, I see it more often in the younger ones than cough the older ones.”

“With as long as the war’s been over, I don’t think there are any young soldiers anymore.”
Railfire said.
“It’s all just us old veterans, and the newer generation of maximals and predacons.”

“If Mini-Cons weren’t humble, more bulks would be scrapped for calling us little guys.” Railgun says deadpan, though he was somewhat joking.

“Woah! This is awesome!”
Maximus said excitedly.
“Oh and uh, sorry.”
He added.

Nebula laughed a bit at both Railgun’s statement, and Maximus’ response.

“So what exactly is going on here?”
Axis asked.

Nebula looked from them to Railgun.
“Do you want to tell them or should I?”

Oddball climbs his way back into the arena, hoisting himself out of the trash chute. All in all, today’s excursion, while not particularly useful to the cause, was entertaining. And that had its own value, he thought.

Backbreaker shrugs.

“Stranger things have happened,” he says, speaking of course, from experience.

“Have you actually seen what post-upgrade Cybertron is like?”
Razorclaw asked with a raised eyebrow.

“My monster. I’ll tell.” Railgun answers and then stares in Maximus. He takes a deep breath before continuing.

"The training room is controlled by a Transformer. He has taken the form of the console, hiding in plain sight. I don’t know how long he has been there, but it appears to be my old…slaver. Rectifier. You fought his simulation once.

He attacked us while we were weakened in a training session. Threatened us to help him escape and leave everyone else stuck here. And if we told anyone, our brothers will pay for it."

“And let me guess. You want my help taking care of this guy?”
Maximus asked.

“Maybe, what do I know, I’ve been in here my whole life…”

“Nope.” Backbreaker shakes his head.
