TTV Will No Longer Report on Lego Leaks

Don’t get me wrong; I’m a long time member of these boards and a fan of TTV for nearly two years now. I will continue to support TTV and the incredible amount of work that Meso, Ven, Var Eljay, Viper, etc. put into the thriving bionicle community here- however, I am more than a little dissapointed in the abandonment of an element of the group that has been, for better or for worse, been a part of TTV’s smorgasborg of content since the beginning. I have been watching TTV since the summer 2014 wave of Hero Factory was leaked, and I stand by the controversial and rocky value of leak discussions.

Yup, I agree that leaks create dissapointment and generate hype that is tough for you guys to control. But you guys are built on hype. You label videos with “BREAKING NEWS”.

Above all, I’d like to see how this affects TTV in the long term. Still supporting you guys.

A thought came to me earlier in the week. Although I understand why you don’t want to report on leaks on the channel, will you still personally discuss leaks on the boards, perhaps in the AMAs?

I’m pretty sure they said they wouldn’t be taking part in any leak discussion, wether it be on the boards or on TTV.
But i could alway be wrong

/s ,of course i’m not wrong

Do the toy fair pictures count as leaks due to not having a “confidential” label?

@Mayple toy fair pictures are not leaks. Lego allows people to take those pictures and they are 100% legit.

But what about when pictures aren’t allowed? Like London toy fair?

Then that would be considered a leak, since it is an illegally taken picture.

If there is no confidential marking on them, then there is no legal basis to keep them off the boards, regardless of how they were taken.
(if this were like, film or trailer footage then that would be a different story).

And to clarify, we’re talking about photos of the physical sets here, not illegally obtained renders. With that in mind, all Toy Fair images are perfectly acceptable to post on the boards.
