My favorite is Morrowind. It’s like Skyrim (which is also great), but more creative and with a world that seems more “realistic,” because it mimics the sorts of political and religious conflicts that occurs in real life. (Skyrim touches on those a bit, but not nearly to the same degree or level of complexity/verisimilitude.) It also touches on philosophy and metaphysics a bit, which is unusual for a game.
