What were some terrible Bionicle set designs you hated?

I love silver. I still haven’t heard an excellent argument on why it “sucks”.

Can’t argue with you there.

So basically, you don’t like the Piraka 'cus they introduced the Inika-build.

A duck? I don’t see it.

Don’t even get me started on how brilliant Antroz and Vamprah are.

To me it sucks because it was overused in Bionicle, and Mistika Toa used it so much, they just look cheap to me.

Being “overused” isn’t really a valid argument though. BTW, I recommend quoting the statement you’re replying to. It’d make things easier to follow.

Yes, this might be not a valid argument, that is just my subjective opinion.

I am sorry for not quoting statements. I am studying how this forum type works. It’s system is new to me.

I wasn’t realy a huge fan of the 08 and beyond sets, not for the builds or the looks but due to the pieces breaking too easily. I don’t know why Lego decided to go with that route and a good number of Bionicle pieces I have have cracks or are straight up broken beyond repair.

I also didn’t like the sets that use lime green, I find that they also break for some reason

I made a while ago ¨something close to that…
I present @Scarilian

Hes not red and gold. but its close enough I guess?
He also has Icarax feet

Also my least favorite builds of G1 would be the avtoran/agori because of their low piece count and their fragility.

Vladek’s face looks nice as some Makuta’s mask.

He has the vladek mask because when we were talking in the chc chat, he mentioned he likes the lego avatar firebender minifigs, who used the same mold for a mask as the vladek minifigure used.

I don’t think we ever fully figured that out. Nearest I can tell, the parts were remoulded with a design that supposed to let them have maintain their “friction” for longer periods of time. However, for some reason (maybe the moulds were mismeasured by a fraction of a millimetre) the parts wound up being much more brittle and breakable.

BTW, pretty much all your complaints are related to the manufacturing process, not the set designs. Are there any BIONICLE sets who’s design you really just didn’t like?

okay so

tahu mistika

hated his skinny’ness, liked the transformer feel of his mask, but hated his general appearence

01 toa because they were spindly, not gonna give them much slack, mainly because they were the first toa sets

hahli inika because of how masculine she was

Sidorak and roodaka because they just seemed meh and ugly to me

the vahki were bland

krekka was an abomination

0’1 toa.
No articulation in the knees, elbows, shoulders and head.
The gear function made it worse, it made the arms floppy.
they were outright clone sets.

This:

Whoever designed this must’ve been had a bad day, and did this as a way to release his rage.

…I know you have a right to your own opinion and all, but I still have to ask how that even makes sense.

cool moc as usual but whats with the mask i think it could’ve been better with icarnax’s mask or makutas

In that case, I really did not like those promotional sets in 2006 (Good guys, bad guys, Golden Good Guy, Duracell Bad guy). They look unfinished and I thought they were designed by little kids with limited pieces

As for standard sets you can get, I didn’t really like Hewkii Mahri set. When I saw Hewkii’s set, I first thought he was some sort of mutant titan than a Toa (didn’t really help that I had nightmares of him when I first saw the set)
