The shadow swung the same exact way, but mirrored. The blades would once again clash together.

“Ah yes, you seek to forge The Crimson Blade do you not?” Kelvani asked Dr. X.
In respose, Mark attempted to slice the legs of his shadow self, trying to catch him off guard.
“Yes.” He replied.

“In order to do that, you must reach down into your deepest subconscious mind, your heart of hearts.” Kelvani said.
The shadow copy, once again, did the same thing.

Mark then realized, that the only way to harm his shadow copy was to harm himself. So, he used his blade to chop off the arm that held it.

The shadow copy did the same, screaming in pain as it did so.

Mark grinned with triumph.
“everyone, i know how to defeat the shadow clones! If they copy everything we do, we need to do things that would make them hurt themselves!” He exclaimed.

The shadow duplicate spat out the same words.

Luxatium fades from view.
The Shades soon came from every direction at the group. The surrounding area started to seem darker from just the pure presence of all the shades.

Mark ran towards Yakiv’s doppelgangar, swinging his sword at him.

Mark then turned and swung his sword at the Shades.
“In order to do that, you must crystalize the crimson energy to form the Crimson Ruby.” Said Kelvani.
“Freeze and condense it?” He asked.
“Can you not? If we don’t fight the duplicates won’t fight and Elias gets bored. Peaceful resolution is always the priority.”
Mark’s copy ran at Yakiv, swinging its sword at Yakiv.

Mark stopped mid-charged, thinking for a moment.
“hmm, perhaps you are right…” he said, setting down his sword.
“Everyone, do nothing!” he declared.
Kelvani nodded.
“Indeed.”
“Your density amazes me, you’re like neutron star.”
Omega chortled at that jab

Assuming everyone had stopped, the shadow clones stopped as well.
Elias then reappeared.
“Well done. You finally got over your thirst for violence.” He chuckled.
“Now have a taste of this.”
All of the shadow clones disappeared, but one, and it was Mark’s. It began to change shape, looking more and more like Mark himself.
Then, it charged at Sadie, keeping the real Mark out of view from her.

Sadie was frozen like a deer in headlights, as she watched the shadow Mark charge at her in confusion.
Michael saw what was happening nearby, and he flew towards them. Michael unsheathed Umbra’s Bane, the golden blade shining with righteous light. Michael then brought the blade down on the shadow Mark, hacking him apart and purging the darkness from the area.
“Elias Crawn, enough of these games! Either you surrender now, or fight us yourself instead of hiding behind your shades like a coward!” Michael proclaimed, pointing the blade at Elias.
