So I figured I may as well make an art topic. I have only a few things to show for now, though there’s more to come.
First, some 2D sketches of a Kratta, in a sort of autopsy view. I was going for a mixture of the set and movie versions.
The little glass canisters are full of chemicals or hormones that cause the Kratta to advance each stage when pumped into the bloodstream. Beyond that, I don’t remember what some of the other stuff is since I originally drew this in 2012, and I never actually wrote up the descriptions corresponding to each number.
Some IRL friends of mine are thinking of making a League-Of-Legends styled game, and I came up with a possible Champion they could use. The actual concept sketches of her aren’t very good (Seriously, my art style has gotten worse over time) but I did make this:
Now onto the interesting stuff, some things I think @John_Smith may appreciate. XD
I’m apparently a glutton for punishment, since among other things, I came up with a story about an OC Time Lord, called the Technician, sometime in 2013. I won’t go into huge detail, but the basic premise is that they go about resolving temporal paradoxes, and through an incident with a predestination paradox, they discover that time is changing and the Time War is on its way. It’s basically my attempt to bridge the Classic and New series.
Anyway, the story is split into four parts, each with a different Control Room for theTechnician’s Tardis. (Their chameleon circuit actually works, though, so no Phone Booth exteriors.) I’ve gotten a fair way on the fourth Tardis, so here’s my progress:
Used by the ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth Technicians, this Control Room has a very sleek, glossy, almost tron-like look with a black-and-red color scheme and lots of indirect lighting. The usual roundels are instead represented by these square shaped cones in the walls; at the very end of each is a small light.
The most obvious thing I’m missing at the moment is a Control Panel.
The Time Rotor will extend down through this underdecks room.
The Hartnell-esque back room needs a LOT of work yet.
And a view from the central platform.
Any thoughts?
