Transformers: Twilight of the Golden Age

Daybreak looks around at the party assembled.

“Once the Javelin’s refueled, we’re going to Gigantion,” Daybreak informs them. “There’s something there which I believe would be of use in this ‘fetch-quest’, as Salvage calls it.”

Seraphicon nods that he understood.

Windstripe nods as well, though he was curious on what this fetch quest was.

Team Neo-Wreckers listen.

OOC: does Windstripe not remember what Vector Sigma told him?

IC: “Respectfully, ma’am,” says Bootleg to Daybreak, “spit it out, already!”

Sol facepalmed

OOC: I bet it has something to do with the CCS Excalibur.

OOC: what else?

IC: Daybreak sighs.

“Alright, very well,” she says. “You all need a ship to visit these ancient colonies, and I’m afraid the Javelin is not up to the task.”

“Is that an insult?” Glaive wonders aloud, “That’s a dig, isn’t it? I should be offended, shouldn’t I?”

Seraphicon listens carefully.

“What do you have in mind?” He asked Daybreak.

“Does that we get to blow it up?” asks Zipine, receiving a punch in the shoulder from Cargo.

“Forgive me, captain,” Daybreak requests, “I meant no offense.”

“Offense taken,” Glaive obviously jokes.

Glaive shoots a glare at Zipline.

“What do you know about the Excalibur?” Daybreak asks. Nightfall and Glaive raise their eyebrows at the mention of the ship’s name.

“That it’s a mythological magic sword from Terran folklore?” He said shrugging.

OOC: Gonna be leaving soon; Y’all know the drill with my characters.

“of all names, why that?”

“It’s also the name of the newest vessel in the Commonwealth navy,” explains Daybreak. “Also the fastest and most advanced.”

“It’s thematic,” Nightfall suggests.

He perks up at that. “Fast is good.” He said.

“still, quite cliche.”

“That it is,” Daybreak affirms.

“Isn’t the Excalibur also still in testing?” Glaive asks.

“Technically,” the former leader of Cybertron affirms. “But Thingamabob is fortunately flexible when it comes to such things.”

“Excuse me, Thingama-what?” Zip squeaks.

“Thingama -bob is one of the engineers who oversaw the Excalibur’s construction,” Daybreak explains.

“might we call the ship something else, caliburn perhaps?”

“That’s an awful lot like Coalburn…” murmurs Zipline. Cargo gives him a stop talking now glare.
