Bad Set Design Choices

This is more of a general one, but I think the sometimes arguably horrific colour-coordination on some sets could be a thing to look at . Good example of this is Kopaka’15’s silver toros piece, which makes no real sense at all compared to his otherwise white, gold and transparant blue.

and in terms of masks, can we please get masks that stay on unless you actively pull them off, and not where you look at them wrong and pop they go?

I don’t mind the silver piece on Kopaka. For some reason it works for me.

As for the masks, I enjoy not having to worry about snapping off the axle in the head.

it’s for balancing the colours,
people have replaced it and said he had too much white/gold.

Oh I see, I didn’t know this. How interesting XD. Guess that was not my brightest example then ^^"

Well… The Vahki waist piece existed, so that’s another. Sorry if that seemed rude.

yes it did,

and how often was it used?

Sorry if that seemed rude.
[/quote]nah.

I think the last time was in the karzahni set

Less than it should have.

The Vahki waist ought to still exist, it would aid the CCBS system a lot.

Nice custom Vahki mate.

Perhaps. Though at least we got it in several colours. MOCing with it is so great.

IDK, it doesn’t really fit with the ball-joint heavy modern system.

Ah. They probably just didn’t have the light-blue brain stalk in the parts inventory in 2008.

Got any non-Kopaka examples?

I for one would like it over horribly bent shoulders on my Toa

I’m curious. Mind explaining how you could implement the Vahki waist in the '15 Toa?

Step 1: While you are developing the parts you need to mold for the next wave of BIONICLE? Make sure the gearbox is made so that there is a balljoint on the front that will attach an armor shell while not being very gappy

Step 2: Use TECHNIC pieces to connect Vahki waist to gearbox

Step 3: ???

Step 4: Profit

I think step 3’d be useful to know.

(I honestly don’t think I understand what you’re trying to illustrate right now)

how would this be useful?

Because the shoulders and hips of the Toa would be aligned to each other, rather than the shoulders being way back.

Also could potentially fix the bare shoulders problem causes by slapping the gearbox on the back of an existing torso.

I’m still not getting what you’re saying. How would adding another piece move the shoulders forwards?

Not adding another piece.

Making the initial mold of one piece done in a better way.

(although one could also achieve the results with a custom torso, but TLG would never do that)

Then what did this mean?

The Vahki waist connects to most models via an axle hole in the side.
The TECHNIC piece in question has an axle hole perpendicular to two pinholes that can connect to the gearbox as is (and presumably would be on my modified gearbox idea as well.)

I just can’t understand what you’re trying to say. I know the pieces, but I can’t see the point in adding a Vahki waist to the back of the gearbox
