Yes, they are small pieces (except Ekimu, he seems like a 20 dollar set in a 15 dollar box, at least to me because of the functions and well armourdness ness ness. Arguments can be made as to why he isnt like the 20 dollar sets which are valid.).
He actually has beast feet with the protector feet on the back for more stability

Guys, I’ve been looking at the boxarts of 2016 summer wave, and I kinda see some fascinating similarity between this year and last year. So I’ll throw this idea about order of appearance of the summer characters in the story out here.
We know that in box arts of the last summer sets (the skullies) showed correct locations and order that they appeared, judging by the background and the distance from the common landmark, the Forge (outlined in red), as you can see here:
Skull Warriors, Slicer, and Scorpio seems to be far away from the Forge, thus they appeared first in the story, while Basher is just outside the Forge, and Grinder is inside the Forge itself, which all correspond to their order of appearance, with exception of Ekimu which is probably because he was included with Kulta,
Now, looking at 2016 summer sets:
As we can see, all boxes this year also share one common distinct landmark, the erupting volcano (outlined in red). So using the same logic as the previous year, I think that the characters will appear in this order:
- Quake Beast, which we barely see the volcano
- Lava Beast
- Storm Beast
- Umarak the Destroyer
- Ekimu the Mask Maker, which we are so close that we can’t even see the whole volcano
But then again, this is just some educated guess, so feel free to point out any flaws or other interesting things you found.
I don’t think so. JtO showed in the end of Ep. 3 (or 2?) that a volcano that seems to be in the center of Okoto is erupting, so I think that the summer storyline (or at least the climax) will take place near the center of the island rather than the RoF.
Maybe the Beast’s chaotic elemental energy will cause the nearby area to turn into the region of their elements? Like ground will freeze and blizzards will form where ever SB goes, or something like that.

I hope the mask doesn’t get destroyed, but that is kinda the reason the Toa and Ekimu want it, so probably.
Probably. Or whatever region Makuta’s temple or whatever is.

the order of the boxarts goes like that, which is kind of weird because everytime they get closer to the volcano, which is impossible, so Okoto might have changed again
but there might be lots of explanations for that,

I think it’s simply the perspective that has been changed, SB’s boxart actually shows a mirrored version of the lava flow on the other boxes. The regions are still in the same place.

It may not chenge on its entirety, but it will surely be damaged, just from the boxart you can tell UTD is causing destruction all over the place. I mentioned this domewhere but I believe UTD’s goal with the volcano in the box is to cause earthquakes or whatnot to get makuta out of the ground.
Regardless of the story behind the boxart, I have to say this is some of the best boxart in bionicle to date, the details are so small yet so good, my favorite boxarts are SB and UTD’s they make the sets look more imposing and threatening.

This interested me as well. The volcano in the show seemed to be much larger than any of the three depicted on the map, which seem to be no larger than any given mountain on Okoto. But this volcano dominated the landscape, which makes me think that Okoto is different now than it was before…or the story team changed their mind and opted for a big volcano instead of a few small ones…

Even if they changed it to one volcano, it doesn’t make sense. We see two Okoto maps in the show depicting three volcanos.

I’ve always had the feeling that the new Bionicle is eerily similar to LotR. Or at least, the whole idea of the MoUP seems inspired by that.

Oh my gosh! There is one mask of ultimate power, right, the One ring. So there is also the mask of Control, Creation, and Time. The Elf rings. Then the Elemental masks. Perhaps there is another mask (of light) and there are seven of them. The seven dwarf rings. Nine minor masks (skull, Umarak, the other Skull ones, and some others shown later) nine rings of corrupted men. AUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHH! LOTR.
