I’m still not sure of the legitimacy of the claims Bionicle isn’t selling well. It just seems contrary to what I see in my area. All the 2016 sets are gone in Meijers, Barnes and Noble, Target, Walmart, and Kmart. (they still have plenty of skull villains though)
Not that I’m saying it looks good enough that it will continue past 2017, I literally have no idea about that, it’s surely not one of LEGO’s big sellers overall. But I don’t see any good reason to believe recent rumors hold that much water until we get some more information.
The odds aren’t looking too great. I think that I’ll be buying him for trans-red bones and skull ribcage, but I’m starting to have second thoughts; the set is way to simple to justify 15 dollars for me.
I feel more interested in the trans purple crystal pieces and rare CCBS bones of Quake Beast. It’s not every day that a set comes with a 7M B bone and a 5M bone with two cup sockets.
LB has the most solid color scheme and comes with four blades total and that is certainly something I really like. The way hand is made is not revolutionary but it’s a really nice change.
But the torso is really gappy.
While I’m not giving this wave a medal for set design these are the best parts pack villains yet.
