ok, i was at that store again (like i mentiond many posts ago) and they did not have them… well to tell you all the truth, they had resived a new batch of Bionicle sets… they had not yet packed out.

but anyway, while i was there i asked them about how bionicle as a theme was doing… He told me that the LEGO sets they sold the most off where Ninjago and Nexo Knight sets, Bionicle on the other hand he said only sold “ten per unit” (im not really sure what he meant with that, if he meant they sold ten per day, per week or even month.)

Maybe he means 10 by shipped box they get for that line…which is rather small but given how a lot of popular lines have sprung up during Bionicles revival, Im sure its one of those reason as to why kids dont buy Bionicle as much as they did in 2001.

What popular lines did you have back then. You had Star Wars and Harry Potter, both which sets with visually were kinda meh while Bionicle was new hip and fresh and visually appealing. Now you have a lot more themes that are doing the same thing and are more appealing to the kids cause of that ( I believe LEGO Minecraft and Ninjago were one of LEGOs smartest choices to do in their modern companies life due to tapping to ether a very popular gaming franchise for kids, or to something that every kid/preteen likes in their toys).

Its not just the fanbase (although the split is harmful dont mistake me), its a slew of different factors ranging from marketing, to ■■■■■ in consumer demand and generational differences.

Based on my rudimentary knowledge, I believe “ten per unit” would mean that for every ■■■■■■■■■■■■■ of a certain size, ten sets within that unit are sold, while the rest are not.

Success, then, depends on the size of the unit, and how many sets are in one.

Hey @DarkHenrik
Im from Norway too, and im just wondering what the store you’re going to buy the new sets from is called? Also what is the location?

@TeslaEffect @Toa_Heatwave glad to provide some better info ratter than “guys guys, some store guy/gal i talked to said that Bionicle was selling proorly”

The one in Oslo?

that would be the one i guess. the senter is called Storo Senter for a reason.

Edit: just a little info here guys, but i checked how many skull Warriors i would need if i would make a display, and i would need 6, four as body guards for Slicer and Basher, and two as part for the two Skull Combiner guards for Kulta.

if any of you guys have checked how much 6 skull warriors corst from the LEGO store, you would be shocked with the Norwegian price for all of them: 1019,4 Kr.

It’s cheaper if you buy at LEGO shop at home tough, The only set I ever bought in a store in was Kopaka, Lewa and Gali.

thats what i did.

1019,4 is the combined price for 6 Skull Warriors at the Norwegian LEGO shop.

ops, I misread, my bad^^

So what about the summer sets? Will you buy them at Brio or Shop
at home?

Please don’t double post - Eljay

at Brio, the store guy i talked to said that they would come out today (they just had not packed them out yet)

however im not yet going to buy them until i know when the next episodes of Journey to One will be released (im planning a new Journey to One countdown where in i buy one set each day til the release day, and im going to end it with Umarak the Destroyer).

He has three claws actually. One on each finger.
(“Claws” refers to the single sharp pointy thing. Not a set of them. So, for example, Onua Mata had three claws in each hand)

Went to my local TRU this morning and returned with all 5 summer sets, so it’s likely that they’re in pretty much every TRU in the US by now.

I almost thought I’d be out of luck though. The TRU I went to had a display (last year’s Ekimu v. Kulta) surrounded by most of the 2016 Winter Wave. UtD was there as well, but none of the other summer sets, so I thought maybe they had only gotten him. Fortunately, I looked around and found that an adjacent shelf had a bunch of 2015 sets on the side (Winter and Summer), and it was there that they had Ekimu and the Beasts.

TBH, I was surprised that the 2015 sets were still there. I doubt TRU would keep them out if they weren’t selling, and they seemed to be in pretty fair supply. I don’t know how to interpret that, but it could either be a good sign or a bad one…

Hahahah, thats funny, LEGO doesnt support shipping in my country.

Yeah except Ekimu. At least for me. It makes me so sad that everyone sees the wave and it’s entirety but I’m just here seeing 4 out of the 5 sets

Wut, really? What country are you from, and do you know why they don’t support shipping? That’s weird.

Serbia, and I dont know why. Regardless given the fact you need to take into account boarder fees and shipping to the toystores, it is way cheaper for me to just buy them in stores…even if the sets are priced 5-10 Euros more than the original price.

it makes me sad that people are able to see the sets but I’m just seeing nothing[quote=“TeslaEffect, post:25554, topic:15529”]
and I dont know why

maybe instead of sending all the sets to the us lego should spread them around the world so they actually do sell out.
