But I think I stand on camp not mask of creation. But I would find it really wierd if it was the mask of ultimate power.

Couldn’t there be crystals on the horns though? He is supposed to look mutated in a bad way.
But then why didn’t we see it non-powered at all in GN2?
because its allways powerd, remember, Makuta wanted to create the strongest mask of all time, so its burning with power constantly, what im saying is that we will only get to see its powerd down state when its shattered, and once its restored, its power will make it burn again.
Quick, question. what would people think for a Bionicle version of Core Hunter.
as in a villain that hunts down Toa and kills them for their powers (not like Umarak, who is a creature of shadows, the villain im talking about is more like a mortal figure, who kills Toa and robs them of their powers)

One that kills for masks maybe. That would be cool.
apparently, Core Hunter’s prototype carried the skulls of the heroes he had killed, thus was later removed because it was to grusome.
It would be interesting if they did it in Bionicle though.
and really, it would have a somewhat good way to work, like the heads are used to carry the stolen masks.

Yeah, when I saw the fragment in the teaser my immediate thought was the Mask of Ultimate Power.
What happened to the mask after Ekimu’s battle is unknown, the only certainty is that it was knocked off Makuta’s face. My theory is that when Ekimu’s hammer struck the mask, it shattered into pieces and Makuta/Umarak is trying to reassemble them.
We also clearly see that Umarak holding something in his hand.
We don’t know what he’s doing here either, but my theory is that he’s using the MoUP/whatever that is to summon or create the beasts.

As for the Mask of Ultimate Power, you are correct. Which is why we shouldn’t be guessing that fragment is the Mask of Ultimate Power. We have no idea what it looks like by color.

If you really cant see any similarities then you can go with that view. I don’t mind, just stating how i see it based on the comparison. Personally prepared to wait for JTO to find out for sure - though a discussion about what it could be and potentially figuring out aspects of plot based on trailers is what i find enjoyable during the time between a trailers release and the final product.
This below image will hopefully help explain why i personally feel that it could be the Mask Of Creation (Bearing in mind that the CGI model of JTO is not exactly the same as the toy)
It could end up being a different mask, though i feel that each of the masks has a specific sort of crown-like design and from what we’ve seen so far, only the Mask Of Creation has a similar curved spiked crown piece;
- Ekimu had a spiked crown similar to Sauron
- Makuta had a mix between an Egyptian headdress and a Dovahkiin helmet
- The Mask Of Ultimate Power has a six pronged design similar to Radiak or Antroz
- The Mask of Time has a sort of butterfly design to it (Time travel Butterfly effect
)
The point was never to cause conflict but to have something to discuss, given the topic has been starved of discussion recently other than those panicking over the potential end of Bionicle.
I don’t agree with some other views on here about what the mask could be, however that doesn’t mean that by stating different opinions we’re automatically having an argument. Granted there is some heated dialogue though i think that’s more people trying to support their opinions rather than targeting anyone specifically for theirs… though that’s only from what I’ve seen recently
- Umarak was probably the closest we’d get in terms of a hunter.
- In terms of stealing powers or masks, the 2015 Summer wave of skeletons kind of already did that - and potentially the 2016 Beasts might do the same.
Makuta was at one stage referred to as a ‘Mask Hoarder’ - i guess if they were going to introduce the idea of a being who collects or has many mask into G2 then Makuta would probably be that character.

look the reason im betting that the fragment is from the mask of Ultimate Power, is because Magic Gold seems to be used on all of the most powerful masks, never have we seen in G2 a colored mask be threated as a powerful mask.
so why don’t we make this into a bet, 25$ on weather or not its a fragment of the MoUP.

given how its treated to be the same mask of creation and not a separate mask, i can’t really say that it would count, infact i did use ekimu’s mask as one of my arguments.
like i said, the MoUP, could be gold in color, but we have only seen its “transparent” state which is the black and red version.
but i mean it, whenever i am in a debate, it allways feels like im treated as being wrong by the other side, especialy when the other side gets all the likes.
which really just makes it feels like the opposite side is chanting this to me:

All I’m seeing here is negativity and some people saying “oh this side isn’t fair because they don’t agree with me” and then constant arguments on stopping the debate.
If you guys don’t like it, get off the topic. This is a DISCUSSION topic, not a “hey let’s wait and say pointless things” topic.

Huh, showing it that way, I can totally see why you would see it as the Mask of Creation, the top part is very similar indeed.
Although I still believe that’s it’s not. As I mentioned before, the detailing on the bottom of the shard doesn’t match the MoCr. As well, the shard indents halfway down, the MoCr does not.

That was also one of my initial assumptions, but as people have examined the trailer they have shown that the item is actually some kind of stone tablet.
But the idea that the tablet could be the key to freeing Makuta/releasing the Beasts is a good theory.

Remember guys this is all about my idea of what I believe may happen, you are free to have your opinion too. I hope that it is the MoCr in pieces because it will show the viewers the kind of threat Umarak and Makuta are. Going on a vacation so I hope everyone has a great weekend.
