No, not really. I think it was just a mistake for that Walmart.
You seem to ignore aspects of my responses and then claim that you cant discuss things with me despite ignoring things and bringing up other discussions ![]()
I said it in the first part of my previous response to you, I have admitted labelling it as such was incorrect same as factually claiming it to definitely be the upper half is also incorrect. It makes us both wrong for labelling it as factual. Both of us tried passing off non-confirmed information as factual and should try to do so less in future.
You said how much facts matter to TTV, well it was delivered in a way that Tesla believed it was factual and you tried doing so again now by spending a few comments providing evidence ignoring my requests for official confirmation until now, where you stated there is none - no wonder people have gotten confused into thinking its confirmed by an official source.
A ‘no’ or ‘yes’ would have worked better than bring up other discussions or providing evidence that everyone here has read before and is still debating due to the inaccuracies in the media. Its confused people into believing it was 100% confirmed when you’ve now stated its not.
If it is the ‘lower half’ then it looks like the base would be wider to fit into the darker patches of the upper half, as circled - otherwise its just an odd design choice as I’d expect it to somewhat mirror the connected ‘fins’ on the top.

I’m not sure it would really add much from a set collectors standpoint. Sure it would be nice i suppose to have an aspect replicating the show, however even if it was constructed via system or technic, it wouldn’t offer much playability if all it does is glow. Though i can potentially see us getting another paper craft situation if they ever did plan on releasing it, could always fit it in a polybag of some kind (Similar to how the gold Kulta mask had a stand paper craft)
You’d probably be better off trying to find a purple glowstick or a lamp of a similar shape and simply finding a non-corrosive paint to paint it black, leaving gaps for the runes, would actually be interested to see someone do this to replicate the artefacts.
I will put forth the idea that it may be naught but a simple piece of armor Umarak knocked off of Tahu, Onua, or Kopaka, and we only have this scene in the trailer for a close-up of Umarak’s head.
The Candle-head cult of G2: the crystal-heads!
~W12~
Depends, if its consistent throughout then i suppose people could consider it that way.
Here though it kind of looks like the crystals have phased through the horns - which leads people to believe its an animation error. Some of the crystals don’t seem to really meld with the horns.
I believe that the other episodes of JTO have similar errors ranging from barely noticeable to more obvious. Personally i don’t mind them as long as they aren’t too obvious, this for me would probably be fine if it were in a quick shot because it probably wouldn’t be noticed, however its more clear because it is on screen longer so it sticks out more.
He’s unlocked his true potential!!
Oh, wait. Wrong theme.
-LOL
True, so its likely the production error.
Wow guys, you wrote so much. I barely read everything. By the way, the theory of that being a piece of the MoCr sincerely is growing on me, I’m not saying that’s certain and I’m totally ok with everyone who does disagree, but a crazy theory came to my mind. What if Umarak destroys the MoCr, then the MoCo gets destroyed in the battle against UtD then, due to the rise of Makuta, the MoUP will… well, you got it.
P.S.: Remember the Golden Protector mask Ekimu does have? If MoCr gets destroyed he’s just powerless but not dead ;D
So you would had preferred Lego to show Umarak ripping his head off instead? This is a kids show, they get away with a lot of things alone because the characters are partly or at least appear as robots
Correct me if I’m wrong here, but Pohatu’s mask isn’t gold is it?

It looks more like one of the corrupted masks, due to the orangish brown and trans yellow spikes on the back. Maybe that’s why his legs are all coated in stone.

The corrupted masks… I dunno, use their element against them? It’d go along really well with the theme of “Control” this year.
They all have their gold masks.
My God, that’s a huge picture…
I think he has the stones on his legs because he’s using his powers, but it’s a weird choice…
Yeah, all of them but pohatu. The problem is, his mask’s shade is too similar to gold so it’s kinda hard to tell. But I think the shades are just different enough to make the distinction between the two masks

Tahu’s mask seems a lot shinier and more golden than Pohatu’s mask. But maybe I’m just overtired
###WHY COULDN’T THEY JUST HAVE MADE THE CORRUPTION TRANS BLACK OR SOMETHING IT WOULD HAVE MADE THIS A LOT LESS CONFUSING
I think it’s just lighting. Pohatu is in more direct light, so it all gets washed out.
They all have their golden masks, and there are no corrupted masks. The ones that come with the Beasts aren’t confirmed canon yet, and the ones from last year were never actually worn by the Toa.
So the Toa never have and currently are not wearing any corrupted masks.
There’s also no corrupted Pohatu mask, so…
Well there goes that theory lmao. I have no idea what’s up with his legs then. No beast controls stone, and I’m like 90% sure he isn’t turning into an inhuman…
So what the heck?
As before
:
I don’t think it’s him using his powers. He looks sorta panicked (looking down at the stone instead of looking up in a more confident manner), and the yellow light could mean it’s Umarak’s power… or pohatu-GAH WHAT THE HECK LEGO
What would be really cool is if Umarak had control over the land itself. Once again, I’d love to see the environment used against the toa, especially if it’s of their element
I see your point on him looking down, good detail to point out, however I don’t see him as panicked at all. I think he looks more serious and somber as, after all, last episode he had just lost the Mask of Control and nearly got Ketar killed. He has to be feeling some guilt and determination to fight Umarak and redeem himself. That’s why there’s that scene in Umarak’s character video of him staring down Pohatu.
###pohatu and Umarak have been set up to be rivals.
Umarak knows Pohatu is the weakest link because he’s so stubborn and unwilling, and Pohatu has a grudge against Umarak for what he did to Ketar and also for allowing him to escape with the MoCo.
I would like to add this is probably the best character relationship we have so far in G2. I love it, and it’s so nice that it’s Pohatu and not Lewa or Tahu or someone else.
Anyways, back to my original point, to me he looks like he’s ready for action. The legs really are anyone’s guess. I personally find it a weird thing to include no matter the reason.
Well no matter what it is, it did it’s job correctly. Now I’m really interested to see how it’s explained in the show. Here’s hoping it doesn’t last for like a minute and then never appear again!
Also… jto might be our first glimpse at what we might get next year. It’s before leak season, and last time we got to see Umarak the Destroyer for the first time
Maybe…the legs hint at Pohatu wearing the Mask of Control…
What? How?
