I don’t think its his ‘spirit’ as much as it is him projecting himself - though of course i am still catching up on the books so maybe its referred to as such there?
Well I would say JtO is more “canon” than the game
what i mean is that they are doing more or less the same with the Mask of Ultimate Power:
in animations and books:
Black and Red.
In Journey to One:
Black and Purple.
It must be Makuta and the MoUP in a flashback scene
That’s what i first thought, though I’m confused as to why they’ve chosen to not go with the black/red ultimate Makuta we saw before. The black mask on the gold body looks odd and it doesn’t really feel like Makuta is really tapping into the powers of the mask.
Also the setting is strange, in the animations they were fighting in a desert or some kind of rocky place - here they appear to be fighting in a city-like location.
its a city in the stone region, which if remember correctly was the capital of the old Okotoan civilazation.
We don’t know if Makuta has yet unlocked it’s full power here
Do you think they would release a set with a black/gunmetal mask when everything else is gold?
Yes, the mask and chest print are confirmed here. There’s no saying the piece it will be placed on will be gold tho.
actualy, if you where to look at the images again, you would see that the “chin” is puched forward, meaning that the jagged part would be in the back of the fragment, which we do not get to see in the video (and because Umarak’s claws is covering the bottom part of the fragment).
again, if you just take the time to look closer and studie, you will see that the fragment have many similarities to the MoUP that is shown in JtO.
If the mask did not have any similarities like being more like the skull mask or something, then your correct that the fragment is not part of the mask.
However, the more videos we see, the more it seems to point towards the fragment being a part of the MoUP.
we are still far away, but right now, the possibility of the fragment being from the MoUP is currently at its strongest.
Maybe it’s because in Winter 2017 they will have a Toa-sized Makuta the Mask Maker with Golden Armor released and in Summer 2017, they will release a Destroyer-sized Ultimate Makuta (red and black).
Seriously @Eljay and @Chronicler .
We Beonikle Fans need 2017 Speculation Topic unlocked!!!
(please?)
i don’t think they will open it.
please dude, just let it go.
I don’t get why you guys want a protector sized Makuta.
You can pretty much build it yourself.
I don’t think you understand the point I’m making. I have taken the time to study the videos, which has yielded the evidence that the shard is not a part of the MoUP. The shard does not have to look like something else not to be the MoUP - and even then, I would argue that it looks far more like a shard from the MoCr than the MoUP. I absolutely disagree with that statement, there is no further proof with the release of the videos that it is a part of the MoUP, and the theory that it is is most definitely not at its strongest. I’ve taken your points into consideration, now you should consider the ones that I outlined in my previous post. Go back and look over the videos, look over my statements. There’s no way that the shard can be a part of the MoUP - I know that you’re probably still going to disagree, but fine, you’re entitled to your opinion.
Minus the shorter limbs and brain stalk.
Kind of…The Mask is likely to be released - and almost certain if it is indeed the MoUP
The chest print however might not be. If for example we ended up getting a different powered-up form of Makuta when we get the set form, as you mentioned as a possibility, there is no real reason for him to have the same chest printing.
The chest printing could even have been included simply so that the chest had a bit of detail, otherwise it would have just been a golden piece. If it is a flashback, the chest print may have aged or decayed or been altered over time so that he may look differently. We also may simply have a situation where we don’t get the set form of that version, similar to how we may not get a protector-sized Makuta…
Potentially… for example a Makuta Toa-sized set that is gold and has the Mask of Control - with an additional black/gunmetal mask that the figure could wear. Sure we’ve already got the Mask Of Control, but a re-release or an altered version could end up happening considering how it changed to be worn by Umarak…
At the moment wouldn’t JTO trailer stuff be able to be discussed either here or in the JTO topic? Nothing from the JTO trailer is really 2017 related at the moment, i mean we could speculate, but wouldn’t the release of JTO at the end of the month be a better time for them to potentially re-open the 2017 speculation topic (Either then, or when we see 2017 leaked info)
Either way, i think they’ll wait till we get leak discussion or at least until after JTO is out. At the moment, the scenes here could simply be redoing a flashback to the first battle, in which case it would almost all be old news except for the potential design of the MoUP.
your not giving evidence, your just saying your opinion. i have looked many times, and the fragment and the mask do fit.
you can dissagree, but im pritty confident that it is part of the MoUP.
Still dosen’t make sence since that piece is in gold, and the MoUP has been shown in black and purple now.
so just because its in gold, you are all confident that its not part of the same mask.
just because it does not have the same color does not mean that it have noting to do with the mask, even though it have many design similarities with it.
and for all we know, that fragment might not even be gold at all.
My evidence -
In the Umarak video the tip of the shard extends further than is physically shown. It is not in the shape of the circle that is present on the forehead of the MoUP, it it more of a long horn. This contradicts the comparison image you have shown, and therefore the shard cannot be a part of the mask.
The mask is black when not in use and black/purple when powered up. No reason whatsoever for it to be gold, it makes no logical sense. The shard is gold and therefore cannot be part of the mask.
The bottom of the shard, which is the bottom of the whole that the shard constitutes, does not correspond to the bottom of the MoUP. Therefore, it cannot be a part of the MoUP.
This is my evidence, not my opinion. It’s irrefutable.
Are you… are you listening to yourself? That shard is clearly gold.
true true, it would not make any sence at all if it just randomely turned gold. Unless it was just a placeholder, but I don’t believe that either since it’s the official trailer.
Exactly.
Indeed, the capital looks amazing and suprisingly futuristic.
