As long if we don’t now wether the pin is in clueded in the set, it could be possible.
Umarak came with extra pieces to build the shadow trap
Regardless of having extra parts you can do it with Storm.Quake and Umarak.
Just by taking the claws off.
I can’t spot a second half on Lava so maybe not.
Perhaps it is hidden on the back?
That’s what I’d assume. I can see trough the ribcage and there is something but I can’t say what it is.
Kopaka’s green/white mask is hard to look at.
So my boring useless opinions on the sets:
Umarak is instabuy for me.
Ekimu isn’t special or anything, but doesn’t really have any bad things about him.
Lava Beast went from my least favorite set to my favorite! At least, he would be if it hadn’t been for UtD. It’s hard for me to choose between him and Umarak!
Storm Beast is yawn.
Quake beast is hard to look at.
But I’ll still be getting all the sets because of my OCD.
Yeah, I’m 95 percent guaranteeing that closing the jaw isn’t possible. The only possibility that I can think of would be if the technic connectors on the sides of the head were not anchored by an axle through an eyestalk but, bizarrely, through this piece or nothing.
Maybe it’s a thing where you close the jaw by flipping it upside down, like maybe it has open axles (like the outermost one on Y-joints/G1 hands)
i disagree i think he is the best of them
Yes yes and just yes. SB is my favorite set along with Umarak, the look it has of a raptor or xenomorph makes me want to instant buy him. The colors are simply great too.
But that build man…that build…open sockets…red pins…the concept is neat…but I think that the budget got spilled on the metru blue shells and the function…it barely beats Quake beast in terms of looks IMO…
Agreed. Plus the trans neon green claws look rather strange on it but I still say It’s okay. However Quake Beast’s purple with neon green… No just no
I think the builder put storm beast hands on upside down
I really want to like lava beast due to his great color scheme and articulated fingers, but that massive gap under his head looks so bad it just ruins him for me, also his legs are really weird. I guess the gap could easily be filled in with some technic beams though.

What if Storm Beast can be put on all four? That could explain the foot pieces as hands.
From the front I bet you can’t really see the gap.
Fair enough, I just care about possibility and playability
@Asriel good thing I like QB then isn’t it
Yeah, but thats still not really an excuse for something like that to me. I like posing my figures from dynamic angles and stuff and dont want to worry about trying to cover up things like that. I dont know why they didn’t just fill it in in the actual model, they did things like that for the 2016 Toa. I guess its a budget issue?
but you can fix it so easily, some pieces here and there and fixed, but you can’t fix QB, not so easily atleast
Let’s be honest though, this isn’t the first time we’ve had gappy or unorthodox BIONICLE sets. Yes they have problems, but every set has some sort of problem. I mean we all have some weird and ugly thing we love about a G1 BIONICLE set, and I don’t think we should let something as silly as a neck gap stop us from loving these sets despite their flaws. As adults, we become too wrapped up in finding what’s wrong with something, and spend too little time on finding what’s right. I mean, Gadunka was the gappiest set I’d ever seen at the time, but I loved it anyway. If you see something you like, then like it! A flaw doesn’t negate the fact that there IS something about the set that you like.
I’m not saying that the sets don’t have problems and that we shouldn’t bring those problems to light, I’m just saying that we shouldn’t act like these problems are the worst thing ever, and instead we should still try to find something we enjoy in each one despite their issues, because this isn’t anything new even though we act like it is. Don’t let your outer adult control your inner-child. ![]()
