I will let my outer adult come out when it comes to deciding what i spend my money on though lol. And for me the gap really is annoying enough to be a big problem of the set for me. But yeah its an easy fix. I might still get him. Just wish that fix was included in the set.

Just throwing this out there, but I saw the new close up pics just now and think I get it.
The storm beast’s function, I mean…
Those thin rods are on ball joints, so I guess they’re those flexible ones. You squeeze the rods, the arms flop forward. So I guess you could use the tail as well, same thing.
I guess I could’ve deduced that at a much earlier juncture XD I only just saw the small towball connection, that’s how I got to that conclusion.
Yep, that jaw really is just there for bacon and beans, as my people like to say…
But the silver lining is that we’re getting a recolored head piece

Regarding the jaw closing issue, I don’t think there’s any way that these jaws will be able to close. The mask touches the technic piece in a way that even if the eye stalk didn’t knock off the mask, the actual jaw itself would.

It ha beensaid before that the beasts don’t have eyestalks, that’s why their heads are transparent neon green. So the mouth will be able to close.
It’s even worse with Umarak’s Buffalo horns.
So that means that if I want to close LB’s mouth his horns are going upwards? Jeez

I wish we could still at least manually open it somehow. But that jaw seems opened enough to place a Uniter mask in the mouth.
Perhaps to close the mouth you could…put it upside down? Seems logical, but tbh I don’t really care.

Guys, I woulfdn’t complain about the builds based on what we’ve seen. I mean, Toy Fair either poses the sets well or builds them well, and these seem pretty well posed.

The only thing I dislike is the lack of a closing jaw, but I am quite sure I will get over that soon.
Again we might be able to close it by putting it upside down, just maybe, as for the builds I love SB, and LB, but QB is simply hideous to me, and the colors make it worse.

The only difference I see between the leaks and these images are the prints.
wait, that actually makes a lot of sense, if they built it upside down that would be the closed mouth, but you would still be able to move it backwards (open it)

ok, Im 100% confident they built it upside down, you can see it has like 2 teeth on the lower part

Don’t forget the new awesome color on Umarak and the hideous color of QB’s head. Don’t forget LB’s shoulderpads were grey and now trans black and he has moving fingers.
Actually…oh my gawd I’m a genius! It might indeed close upside down, it would give an “underjaw” look (??)

Storm beast and ekimu didn’t really change at all though. I still like QB. But I agree. the head color is really strange.

or maybe not, because if you turn it upside down;
that would happend, the jaw will go all the way up…
but maybe it is my skills’s fault

@chezzymann They look good in hand, just diffrent in CGI and photos and stuff. Trans neon green does the same thing where it looks yellow. Same purps as G1, isn’t it?
