I watched Jang’s review on these and why do they look SO bad irl?

it’s way too blocky
the shoulders are so low, the legs can’t be posed that well or a few pieces will start breaking apart and the arms can’t bend 90 degrees
also the head looks horrendous from the side

i’m def skipping on these

I’d only get them for all the articulated parts.

They’re ugly, yeah… but look at early CCBS sets. that stuff wasn’t too pretty either, and needed time to develop. So give this building style a while to evolve, and soon we’ll probably see them getting more refined.

I’m not sure if I agree with that.

The Hero Factory 2.0 sets are definitely simple, but they look pretty cool. The Fire Villains even managed to do some really creative things with the system.

Yeah, and the 1.0 sets looked pretty nice as well.

btw Ninjago finally tapped into the transformers niche
yes, i know technically that’s partsforming and that the alt-build looks weird, but hey it’s something

if that’s what you call transforming then wouldn’t every creator 3-in-1 ever be a transformer

“Ice Dragon Creature”. I thought that thing had a name…

It seems like each year their mech designs get more and more anime-like. And this one doesn’t even look all that bad… and it looks like it has actual knees!

A lot of these constraction-like pieces look very, very delicious. I’m sure I would be able to find many uses for them. Such a shame I won’t be able to get my hands on any, as they don’t really ship Lego to my country anymore
