I got a Kohrak and a spineless Hakann as a hand-me-down. For a long time they just sat around on my shelf, until one day (ca. 4 years ago) I was curious and wanted to know more about those figures. Went on the internet, looked up some basic info about Bionicle, and that’s when the madness began.

Sometime in mid-2006 I was at a Lego store with my mom. She said she would buy me something; I was contemplating Bionicles and a passing child recommended them. I acted on his word and I asked my mom to buy me Balta and Piruk. I don’t think she could have comprehended the absolute obsession that would set in motion.
