HowTo: MOC Tutorials

I wasn’t primarily concerned about the shell, was mostly wanting to get good use from the Ben 10 leg piece

Woah, dude, you should definitely buy some. I see no reason why anyone should be sticking to G1-parts only nowdays…

It really depends on what they want to build. Some people don’t like the smooth and simple aesthetic of CCBS.

It really does depend on aesthetic, especially for shells. Some people prefer to stick with a purely G1 look.

I personally embrace the two, and I’ve found it can make some neat looking MOCs if you “texture block”. Basically doing with greebles what you would do with colors.

Well, even if you don’t like the simple shells, there are still a tone of other parts such as weapons, armor attachments etc that will hit right at home with the “G1 aesthetic”.

Here, I tried your suggestion:

It works with the small shells, at least. I tried it with a larger-than-normal one and that definitely didn’t work. I didn’t have any of the ordinary, slightly larger ones on hand, so don’t know about those.

Yeah, doesn’t look too pretty. Oh well! Thanks for everyone who tried!

Realized I never actually posted any pictures of Makuta Enigma here. This is what I have on my phone, more renders probably tomorrow. He is by far my biggest MOC, if I remember correctly almost 1000 pieces and nearly 2 feet tall if you count his wings. (Although I have another MOC in the works that will hopefully be close to 3 feet tall.

Ok, I really like that head.

I’m glad you like it! It took a while to get right. I will get a deconstruction for you whenever I can finish the renders.

It’s amazing, 5/5,
but should probably go in it’s own topic
because this is for tutorials.
he’s also t-posing in the first picture.
so it’s 0/5

T pose is the ultimate power pose. Nothing says I’m big and strong more than T posing at your enemies, or I’d it darksouls PvP doing it while ice skating around due to bad Internet lol

Hey all. I’m currently working on a Moc, toa sized humanoid build. Does anyone have any ideas for skirt armor? Design wise I’m thinking like a Spartan/Roman warrior type design. Been trying for a while but really finding it tough to come up with a design that still allows for decent leg articulation and doesent stick out too far from the body.
Any ideas?

Do you have the rest of the body built?

Yeah. I’m more than willing to change and amend as needed though.
