Salvation: Part II

“Then lets go!” And she grabs him by the arm and leads him out.

Daria tries a door.

Actaeon lands, trying to fit through a window.

Scrapshot shrugs,
“Got no real job on this ship, other than shooting the enemy, and so far we got no enemy in the immediate area, so I don’t think I got anything better to do.”

Blight stumbles with her, trying to keep his pace up.

She noticed this and slowed down a bit, while also letting go of his arm.

“Scanner?” Epsilon asked.

Zepar nods and buds the pilgrim good luck before resuming his course to the restaurant.

All of these heroes would conveniently arrive at the same location in short order- at a wide, round door at the base of the control tower.

Both Daria and Actaeon, accompanied by Facelift, find themselves in a dark, long corridor.

All the machinery was dark and inert, the only light coming from the silver moon as it shines through the windows and gaps in the architecture. Barely visible in the darkness were many statues of cybertronian Knights lining the walls, as if standing guard over the corridor.

“Spooky…” Facelift comments.

Inside the pub, Zepar would find Barkeep and a few other pilgrims inspecting the pool table-turned-control console.

Halfrunner shakes his head.

“Go out and talk to people, lad. Or work off some of that angst of yours at the shooting range. Something more productive than drinking yourself silly.”

Shockwave nods.

“The object appears to be a scanning device that reads CNA by extracting an energon sample using a syringe, activated by physical contact.”

“Is there a particular sequence it’s looking for?” Epsilon asked, not entirely understanding Shockwave’s explanation aside from it looking at CNA.

Zepar looked at the console as well, curious about what was so interesting to these people.

Gatecrasher looked up at the tower. He whistled. “That’s quite the height.”

“So, what’s your discount like?” Blight wonders. “I mean, I have money, I’m just curious.”

"Well, it’s um, it’s…"she stops. “I dunno? I’ve never gotten anything more expensive than a plain, clear glass.”

“You could ask sometime, maybe,” he suggests. “My sister was kind of my boss, and she just told me when to stop eating the products.”

“Most likely,” Shockwave says.

The console displayed a hologram of Salvation, as well as several controls written in cyberglyphics.

The door was adorned with the emblem of the Knights of Cybertron. The resemblance it bore to the Autobot sigil could not go unnoticed.

“I probably should. I.don’t want to rack up a tab.” She says as continues.

“Facinating. A combination of bot autobot and decepticons sigils.” He says tone one in particular.

“Uh, actually, it’s just Autobot,” Topside says.

“Or, well, it inspired the Autobot mark.”

The Autobot captain then squints, the light of his blue eyes just barely shining out of his barely-open eyelids.

“Though I guess you can see the 'Con logo if you squint…”

“As always, it seems like were we’re all one in the past, and yet we continue to fight.”

“So… you seem rather cheerful for someone who was just-” Blight pauses. “Oh, you probably don’t want to talk about it, my bad.”

“Just what?” She asked, confused.

“Can you find out what it’s looking for?” Epsilon asked.

Zepar tries to read some of the Cyberglyphs

Topside nods.

“Ain’t that the truth…”

Some of the glyphs spelled out detailed analyses of Salvation’s damages- the five hull breaches sustained in fending off a terrorcon horde, a long stretch of charred plating from the Armageddon’s main gun inflicted in the battle over the culture ark, and the utter destruction of many of the Fleetcarrier’s foldspace warhead batteries, to name a few.

…Begin Automated Repair Sequence… one holo-console prompts.

“Yes,” Shockwave bluntly replies. “Though I may require some aid.”

“You know…” Blight frowns, moving his fingers into a playful pistol representation, pointing it at a window.
