Haven’t really got a history. But basically the Kinglands were home to a powerful family which conquered the others.
The story picks up with some provinces quitting, or staying depending on the way you play, because the king dies leaving no heir.

The Northerners are generally raiders
The Kinglanders are farmers
The Naragzirans are miners
The Ashhursts are Smith’s
The Caernoi are woodcutters
The Sirans are fishers
The Sanans are merchants
(These are just general)
