I found the G2 accessory packs at Bricks and Minifigs. I’ve also started piecing together the other GWP Toa Mata.
Sweet, I found the cape myself on bricklink a bit ago but I’ve been really trying to find the gold skull mask. Great find!
So I was browsing the Slovenian online marketplace the other day and I found a guy selling a Mata Tahu for 15 euros. I looked at that ad and thought to myself: do I really need a Toa Mata Tahu? I came to the conclusion that, no, I don’t need a Toa Mata Tahu.
I want one. And I’m glad I bought it. He’s complete (although I did need to swap out the grey head piece) and he has wonderfully tight ball sockets for a 24 year old figure.
It just so happens that my brother has his golden Hau. Here he is with that mask.
For other clueless Americans like myself, that’s fifteen dollars, eighty cents. Great deal right there.
Thanks to baboon’s euro translation I can confirm that’s a wonderful purchase. You never can go wrong with more Toa Mata Tahu sets.
I agree, he was an absolute bargain. Now I just need to get Onua and Pohatu…
Got a bunch of figures! Most of them are missing pieces, but they’re all in wonderful condition (almost no cracks). Also a lot of extra parts.
You might’ve noticed Fero with no trace of Skirmix, or Spinax with just very few parts of Maxilos. That’s the thing - this isn’t everything I paid for.
The listing photos clearly showed Skirmix, Nocturn, Vezon, more parts of Maxilos and several more canister sets alongside the figures I received. The seller didn’t say anything about it, so I was quite surprised to only find half of what I bought…
Don’t get me wrong, this was 20€ so it was well worth it - still, I’ve sent them a message politely asking what happened to the rest. This was a private sale (without any warranty on the seller’s side) so it’s technically not an issue in a legal sense, I just want to know. If they decided to keep the figures for whatever reason, that’s fine with me, I would just like to have some clarification on the matter.
I mean if they advertised it as part of the bundle and didn’t live up to it I feel like it is an issue but that’s just me
I had something like that happen to me as well. The listing showed a large amount of pieces, but after inquiring about it, the seller noted that there were several pieces in the lot they intended on keeping. Granted they stated which pieces so I was aware I wasn’t paying for the entire lot, but it definitely would have been beneficial if they had removed those pieces from the listing photo before posting it.
Oh well.
Having sold quite a lot of Lego on eBay I every once in a while I will take a piece that was technically in the picture but because it’s a pain to set it all out and retake every picture I will just leave that piece in the listing. Though usually it’s only one or two little things in a much larger lot.
But taking almost half is different, I’m curious what he’ll say.
Yesterday and today I got Godzilla Minus One Blu Ray, Lilo & Stitch 1 & 2 Film Blu Ray set, Toy Story “1”-4 film DVD set, Monsters Inc DVD, The Incredibles 1 & 2 DVD set, Ratatouille DVD, Wall-E DVD (Non Criterion Edition), Up DVD, Inside Out 1 Blu Ray, Transformers Armada Complete Series DVD, Rankin Bass Christmas Specials Blu Ray set, Transformers Studio Series 86 Leader Swoop, Ninjago Dragon Rising Ryu set, Standard Disney Simba set, & Santa’s Sleigh set.
I can’t believe my luck… Not long after I got a Mata Tahu for 15 euros, I found another guy selling a complete Pohatu, also for 15 euros. You know I had to have him! And he’s wonderful! Some small pins and connectors were missing (nothing I couldn’t easily replace) and his joints aren’t as stiff as Tahu’s were, but he came with instructions.
The entire gang’s almost here now…
While I don’t actually attend nor have I ever attended the university, I actually have a decent amount of merchandise from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The H on this neck gaiter I just got is the logo for the rainbow warriors/rainbow wahine, which are the university’s athletic teams (“wahine” just means women, it’s for their women’s teams).
What’s better than the Nitro Flash? Of course, two Nitro Flashes!
It’s one complete set with extra parts for the alternate models, plus a second chassis + set of wheels and some of the lime panels.
Trust me when I say that this thing is fast. It’s fast to the point where it’s legitimately difficult to control due to its wide turning radius. Torque is actually pretty good, more than you’d expect. Definitely surpassed my expectations!
The chassis is pretty ridiculous, though. For one, that IR dongle antenna thingy. Just… why did they make it like that? It doesn’t look good, can get damaged easily and I don’t think it would have made a big change if it was a regular IR receiver port directly on the chassis (like the Manas hub).
Also, it doesn’t have an on/off switch. Instead, there’s a little motion sensor inside. You gently shake the car or drop it to the floor from ~2cm height to turn it on. It automatically turns off when it doesn’t receive a signal for 5 minutes. Again, what’s the point? Sure, it’s novel, but I bet it would’ve been cheaper to just integrate a regular switch.
Came with all kinds of advertisement material from the time, I always enjoy seeing those.
Gotta love deceitful advertising…
ah yes “orig skitt” my favorite
This is what heartburn would look like if it was a drink ![]()
After masks of powers gameplay trailer I really wanted these. So glad to finally have the two fighting wasps
interesting how the drink is naturally flavored while skittles are naturally and artificially flavored
