“Apart from the fighting, I can’t say I’m discontent here. Well, I’m not discontent now that is,” she wrote out.
“Yeah, that reminds me. You guys aren’t…”
Gamma looked around nervously. As if to make sure no one else was listening.
“You guys aren’t planning another breakout are you?”
He asked in a hushed voice.
She looked at him blankly as she wrote down a response, “Now, that wouldn’t be very kind to my kind to answer either way. Just like you don’t want me knowing certain things because you’ll be betraying your comrades, the same thing pertains to me. I can’t tell you if a breakout is being planned, or even if it isn’t. That’d make me a traitor either way.”
“Right, right. I get that.”
Gamma said. Sounding rather understanding.
“It’s just… Look. I need to know. I know Iota tells us not to worry about it, you know, since they never work. But that’s only because the royal guard gets involved before it can go to far! Plus I’ve hear rumors that the queen is coming by for an inspection. And genesis help us all if she gets upset.”
The guard’s voice trembled, as he sounded genuinely terrified.
“Should I relay that message?” She asked with her board.
“What? No! I mean yes. I mean… If any of you value your lives, you’ll be careful. I have no idea what Queen Titania would do if she arrived in the middle of a breakout. But I can’t imagine it would be good.”
He said nervously.
They take the one that would be nearest to the arena, as it was the most likely one used. Once there they, albeit a somewhat reluctantly, climb down the chute. Tie-Grabber goes first so that he can make the climbing holds with that hook of his.
The chute was smooth on the inside. One false step and they’d all slip and fall down.
The path below seemed to have numerous bends. It was difficulty to see just exactly where it was leading.
She nodded, “What kind of person is this queen?”
“The queen is… Oh Genesis where do I begin. She’s a very kind and caring ruler. Better than Ares was, that’s for sure. But it’s no secret that she doesn’t like this place. And she can get… Violent… When she’s unhappy.”
She nodded, “Sounds like someone I would enjoy talking to,” she wrote.
“Look this is serious. If you know what’s good for you, you should be careful. Stay away from her. And please… Just be careful.”
They continued their trip down slowly and carefully. Machbreaker is in the middle while Railgun is at the top of the climb. Mostly in case any trash gets thrown down, he at least would have a chance to blast it. He could take a decent hit after all.
“Do these guys have no idea what standards and regulations are?!” Tie-Grabber complained. “Or common sense? This is a terrible chute layout.”
“Ways of Vex are mysterious.” Machbreaker replied.
“You mispronounced idiotic there buddy.” Tie-Grabber joking replied as he paused an extra second to ensure his grip before making the next holding.
In short time they would reach their destination. The chute opened to some equivalent of a dumpster beneath them. Scraps of blue metal could be seen from their position.
“I know the severity of the actions at play. I’m a medic, I’m not a fighter, I can’t even produce a weapon to use myself. Best I can do is syringes, and those aren’t really…weaponlike. If she’s kind and caring I don’t see how requesting to speak with her would cause my demise.”
“I suppose that’s right… As far as I know, she won’t be here for a few days. So I guess we’ll just have to wait until then to see what happens.”
“Mornin’,” Backbreaker interjects.
“Morning to you as well.”
Railfire replied. Maximus handed him an energon cube. To which the medic quickly took a drink.
“Now, what have you come to see me for?”
He asked Backbreaker.
@Chromeharpoon
She nodded, “Say, is there a way you could teach me your language?” She wrote.
“Our written language is… Complicated. I don’t think you would be able to properly replicate it.”
