She wrote down the next bit, “It’d only be a matter of imputing the language into my database and memorizing the proper hand coordination. A fair bit of my mine is code, we can do things like this easily enough.”
“I guess so, but I’m still not sure how to properly teach it.”
“The kid and I needed a place to talk,” Backbreaker explains. “Figured you wouldn’t mind.”
“Not at all.”
He said pleasantly.
“Im fact, I’ve recently acquired some information that could prove quite useful to our efforts.”
“That have something to do with it?” Backbreaker asks, pointing to the computer.
“Indeed. Our minicon compatriots have done some digging. And thanks to their efforts, I have learned much about our captures.”
Railfire explained.
“The Vex do not exist as we see them. The bodies we see, what we interact with, are nothing but shells. The Vex themselves are a living gas that use robotic vessels to contain themselves. And through much study, I’ve found two weaknesses. If the gas is let out of its body, it will disperse. Unable to reform. Effectively killing the subject. And secondly, the gas has an elemental weakness to heat. It does not burn, but breaks down when exposed to high temperatures.”
“How do you teach your offspring?” She wrote out.
“Well, lucky for me I got this here flamethrower, huh?” Backbreaker remarks, showing off the cannon mounted on his right arm.
“Lucky indeed.”
Railfire remarked.
“The minicons also provided some important location detail. Finding both the processing area, where new bots are shrunken down. As well as where Iota keeps the confiscated ships.”
“Great! That plays in perfectly to the plan I have.”
Maximus said eagerly.
“Speaking of that,” Backbreaker says, “whatcha got in mind?”
“Alright. I think you’re really gonna like what I have in mind.”
He said with an excited grin.
"Step one. I challenge Grimlock to another fight. This gets the two of us in the arena. Now, I recently discovered this new E.M.P ability I have. So I figure if I can get enough charge from the electric cage, I’ll be able to make a pulse large enough to shut down the whole compound for a few minutes. Which leads me into
Step 2. While all the guards are distracted, Axis takes a party of bots with her down to the vehicle bay. She gets to the Sleipnir, that’s what I call my ship, and uses its weapons to break a hole and bust out, while also sending a distress signal to the rest of the Star Talons. Then
Step 3. While Axis and the others are getting the ship, Me, Grimlock, Railfire, and you, all get to the processing chamber. Then we find whatever the Vex have been using to shrink everyone. The doc bot does some tampering and reverses it, so we get big G back to his full size. Which brings me to
Step 4. With one super huge dinobot, and my ship, plus everyone else fighting with us, we wreck house and bring this place to its knees. And finally
Step 5. By now Lockjaw will have arrived with his ship, and the crew helps with any more fighting that may be left to do. Then we all get on board, and boom! Off to safety. We head off to one of our outpost worlds, and establish a colony for the bots who can’t go back to Cybertron."
Maximus looked at Backbreaker with an excited look in his eyes.
“So? Pretty impressive right?”
Backbreaker shrugs.
“Better than what I had,” he admits. “But there’s a problem.”
“What’s that?”
Maximus asked.
“The whole part about banking on your pirate buddies for help,” Backbreaker says. “Nothing against them, but there’s no solid guarantee they’ll get your message, or get here in time to bail us out.”
He shakes his head. “We gotta act like we aren’t getting any help from the outside- though it’d be nice if we did, don’t get me wrong.”
“Well that’s fairly simple. We have access to a whole bunch of ships. I’m sure if Lockjaw doesn’t show up in time to bail us out, we can fly off ourselves.”
For a possible faster escape, Tie-Grabber doesn’t jump down into the dumpster. Rather, he puts his hook into the wall and lowers himself down, just enough to first get a better view of the area. Primarily to see if there’s anyone around or security cameras. If there isn’t, he analyzes the dumpster itself more to ensure it would be okay for the other two to come into.
After he lowered past the chute’s exit, he would be able to see the greater outside world. A busy and bustling metropolis surrounded them. Shining towers stretched into the sky. Air craft and hover vehicles of all kinds whizzed around in the distance and high above.
The dumpster below was one of many. There were dozens of the things in a line, all with chutes above them. In the one beneath them specifically, it was relatively safe. The most notable thing about it where the hacked up bits of Steeljaw haphazardly thrown on top.
Tie-Grabber grimaces looking at the parts. A chance for autopsy was likely gone, could have learned more about the affects of that laser blast. With any luck, maybe the spark would still be intact.
He reels himself back up and brings Machbreaker down to the dumpster while Railgun jumps down. Once down in there, they look to see if they can find the Spark, or what’s left of it. And while those two search, Tie-Grabber keeps a watchful eye out for any trouble. Both from trash coming down on top of them and the world at large. Tapping his side every half second, counting. The sooner they were out of here the better.
Though Railgun seems more focus on trying the find the spot where that energy blast struck. He wants to know just how bad it was. How much it would hurt later. Hopefully it was a quick death.
Machbreaker looked for large chest pieces first, figuring the Spark was most likely there.
“That’s what I’m getting at,” Backbreaker says. “We need backup plans.”
There was the occasional shutter from the other chutes as empty energon cubes come cascading down, landing in a dumpster several spaces away. Otherwise there was no activity.
Steelkaw’s head was relatively intact. Having been torn off at the neck. The back of the head was in a very poor shape. A hole blasted by Iota revealed his internal circuitry and brain module to be completely fried. The death was not slow, but far from painless.
The torso was entirely intact. There were four messy stumps with frayed wires where the limbs should be. If he wanted access to the spark chamber, he’d have to pry it open himself.
“Okay. What other parts should we have backups for then?”
The predacon asked.
“Or more accurately, how?”
