Transformers: Tournament of Terror. RP Topic

He looks to see if the energy melted through, transferred, or just blast with concussive force like bullets. Railgun would try to see if he could pick up any kind of energy signature (i.e. radiation), but without any tools likely couldn’t get much. Wasn’t worth bringing the scanner to possibly loose it down here.

He almost considers taking the head back with them for Railfire to glean for info, but even for his mission-minded self it was sickening. No, he had seen enough dead in the war to know what kind of firepower and method broke through that head. There was nothing more he could gain by taking it, only loss.

Well, he was expecting to have to work for this Spark. At least the body being this much in tact was good, higher hopes for the Spark. He quickly requests aid from Railgun, who was more than happy to do something else, and start working on the torso. Machbreaker primarily heating parts of the chest to weaken it enough to tear off.

The initial damage was concussive, but all the internal components were either burnt, fried, or melted into slag. There was no radiation they could detect. But putting it under some proper equipment would probably be a good idea.

The spark chamber was intact. Of course the spark itself was gone. There were no signs of burns. So thankfully the spark managed to escape, rather than having been extinguished. Steeljaw’s fate could have been worse.

“What do you mean?” Backbreaker asks.

“Well you said it yourself. We need backups in case part of the plan goes wrong. So we should have contingencies for every step of the plan.”

Backbreaker nods.

“Yep. For example: say you can’t make a blackout with those sparks of yours. What do we do then?”

“Hm… That’s gonna be tough. Seeing as that’s kind of the whole foundation of the plan.”
Maximus admitted.

“That’s… Also complicated. But for different reasons.”
Gamma said nervously.

She quirked her head to the side, “Oh,” she wrote, “Do go on!”

“But I just said… You know what, never mind. We don’t really teach our young our language. See, Vex children are made when a parent splits off a portion of their own gas, and places it in a smaller body. Over time the smaller portion grows and becomes its own person. But since it still came from a parent, they keep some basic memories. Such as how to move, how to speak, so on. We don’t really teach our young our language because they already know it.”

Her eyes widened and she nodded in awe, “Our kind doesn’t do children,” she wrote, “so that’s quite nice…say if you could write out a paragraph using all the letters in your language, and then write the same paragraph in my language I could learn it.”

“I suppose. My cybertronian isn’t perfect though. I’ve only learned from being around you guys for so long.”

She handed him her tablet and pen.

He took the pen and wrote out a simple sentence. One he knew incorporated every character in the cybertronian alphabet.

“Sphinx of black quartz, judge my vow.”
His handwriting was rough. He clearly wasn’t comfortable writing in this particular script.

Then he wrote the same phrase in Vex. Though it used twice as many words, and also didn’t use all the characters of his language. The language itself had a very particular flow and curve to it all. Each character lead into the next. At a glance they were difficult to tell apart.

He handed the tablet back.
“I’m sorry. It isn’t the best.”

She stared at it intently as the internal fan in her head went into overdrive. She was processing and translating the cursive like font. She seemed to be a little warm to the touch as she kept going over the words in her head.

“Are you… Okay?”
He asked nervously.

This went on for another minute or so before she looked up and nodded slowly. She then wrote something down on her board in his language, “Yes, translation take time. Memorized picture, going to spend more time optimizing how to speak language in your text,” clearly her translation was a bit spotty, but still quite eligible.

“Huh. That’s surprisingly not bad.”
Gamma said. Genuinely impressed.
“Though… I just realized. The boss might not be happy with me teaching the prisoners how to read Vex.”

“Oh,” she wrote out in Cybertronian, “Well I won’t flaunt it around then. I intend to just use it if I can speak to your queen.”

“Right. So can you not speak at all then?”
Gamma asked curiously.

She shook her head, “No my vocal box and mouth where heavily damaged during the war, it’s why I wear this mask actually,” she wrote.
