Canon contest winners 2007/2008/2009 instruction

Hello everyone, I noticed that the community has no instructions for the winners of 2007/2008/2009 contests (Prisoners of the Pit, Makuta, Glatorian). I would like to collect them. Can you help me find the instructions for them?

First of all, welcome!

I’m certainly curious about these models, but to my knowledge there are indeed no instructions. However, user @MMF29 is currently recreating Jason Guthrie’s model from the Makuta contest! You can check out the progress here:

I’ve already figured out Drewdika myself

Tinnuron, Zakron, Zarnak and not-Antroz look easy enough to figure out

I’ve never seen the Glatorian guys before but they look wicked and I’d love to build them

Thank you very much! I also tried to build the makuta (top right), but I’m not sure if it’s right

I think this guy is almost certainly a combo model between the three Phantoka Makuta and Radiak, so those sockets on his feet should be the dark red ones from Antroz. Pretty sure it’s just the atrocious lighting in the original image making them look brighter.

There also seems to be a bit more going on behind his back? Can’t tell what exactly, but it looks a bit more filled out than what you’ve got here

It’s worth noting that a couple of these reuse bits from existing sets with little to no modification. For example, Zarnak’s legs appear to be copied from Kardas, and the red Glatorian (bottom right) has Maxilos’ feet.

On that note, Tinnuron has Sidorak’s thighs and wings from the Iron Condor. He looks to be the easiest to reverse-engineer out of everyone here

You beat me to pointing out the Sidorak thighs. I think his left upper arm (the one with the tube) is from Axonn?

I’ll have to look at a higher quality picture to confirm but I think you’re right

I might have a crack at Tinnurron in a minute and report back.

Okay yeah that’s definitely Axonn’s bicep

Also Axonn’s hand! Just with all the fingers removed and two Ehlek claws attached to it

I’ve seen instructions of Prisoners, except Xyron and Zarnak. But I don’t know the structure of Xyron’s head and body. And I don’t quite understand the structure of Zarnak’s body due to poor lighting

Would I be correct in saying there’s a bare 3l axle where the thumb would go too?
I also can’t figure out if there’s anything in Carapar’s eye sockets.

Yeah, it’s still got the 3L axle. Looks like there’s a white barb in one of the eye sockets

I found models of three prisoners (Drewdika, Tinnurron, Zakron) Digital Constraction Collection - Google Drive
There’s video about Tinnurron https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oep_bB5xfSw

EDITED FOR DOUBLE POST - Spiderus Prime

Not built exactly correct there. He’s got matching legs rather than one blue/white and one gunmetal, his hand’s built completely wrong, he’s missing the hose and his thighs have been switched

I can see what looks like dark blue in there, as well as what might be Radiak’s legs between the Hordika legs and the torso.

Here’s Tinnurron, sans wings and hoses for the moment. The Keetorange neck piece is a guess, as is the exact build of the head (it looks like the Carapar head might be slightly lower down).

I think the non-Hahli Inika legs are the gunmetal ones from Hewkii, rather than Nuparu’s black ones. Neck socket may just be attached a hole lower, that’d solve the head issue

Tubes added. I’m not sure how the one on the leg attaches to the thigh, but I’ll check the DCC model and see how they’ve done it.

well that’s not right

However it’s connected, it looks pretty bent up at the thigh. Probably why he’s crouching in the picture

I love how that connector piece didn’t even exist at the time the moc was built
