“Oh wait, yeah taste…” She gazed on if reminiscing. “I don’t really pay attention to it anymore, but its fine.”
Vance exited the Labyrinth nearby, and knowing he could again be perceived as a threat, ran towards Patrick and the Meta-Human. He would be taken aback at what he thought was a normal human’s bravery in taking on someone with a powerful ability.
After about fifteen minutes, the blue-and-red robot landed down in the park amongst the chaos. He scanned around the area, trying to spot the attacker and any other combatants.
Answer would see a hazy stream of images. A dingy apartment building in the rotten depths of Southside, an address, an apartment number. As soon as it appears, the vision fades.
The pair of them would hear the sirens slowly getting closer, boxing them in again. Most of the buildings nearby had roof access, and there was also a covered manhole a few paces away, so Iosif had options.
The masked attacker was of below average human strength, and so was easily bowled over by Thelryn’s tackle. “GET OFF ME!” He roars, struggling and thrashing in his grip, his hair lashing out harmlessly again and again over his durable skin. “What the hell are you?” The metahuman growls in frustration. The security androids stand clear of the struggle, merely keeping any remaining bystanders clear of the danger zone and watching to see how it would play out, whilst first responders start to arrive on the scene.
Vance would stay at a distance ready to help Patrick if need be
Gideon tipped his head up slightly. There were distant sirens. Were they heading to Luthor?
“Say, do you hear that?”
Not noticing Hayden’s approach, Iosif jumped with surprise when he heard his voice. He immediately swung his fists up in a defensive position. “Keep away.” He snapped with a heavy russian accent.
Iosif frowned. The roofs could trap him, and a jump from that height would likely hurt a fair bit, but they also had electricity. The sewer was safer, but if he needed to run, it would be a lot harder.
Building. Spinning on his heel, he used the last bit of built-up charge to run further into the alley. The first door was bolted, so he slipped inside the second one, locking it after him as quick as he could.
Unless that guy can break doors down, I should be able to get to the roof no problem. He can explain to the police and they’ll definitely…
Wait.
OOC:
I scanned the map, but I couldn’t find a Southside. Where is it? Presumably… South of everything else?
“I’m afraid you’re in no position to ask questions,” Thelryn said with a chuckle to the man he was restraining. “Now for the real question: who are you?”
Answer immediately runs for his notepad writing down everything he could remember from the slew of images, key landmarks, numbers, anything that would be key to finding this place.
Hayden jumped back, startled. Well, he didn’t jump exactly, he more flew up about a foot and forgot to come back down. The boy didn’t notice however, as he turned and ran down an alley at above average speed and ran into a building.
“I think I might should check that guy out” Hayden thought as he flew onto the roof of the building.
OOC: @Ghid Southside is suicide slum
Adelaide nodded in joy, was she excited that there was a possible major crime? She pointed towards the direction of the sirens, “Is this our problem? Are we gonna go or…”
He looks to Thelryn, and seeing things had been taken care of; puts his fists on his hips and laughs robotically before taking off again.
The approaching sirens would materialise into a number of SCU vans flooding into the block, combing the surroundings for the perp. With time, they would begin to coalesce around the building that Iosif and Hayden were scaling.
“None of your dang business!” He snarls, continuing to struggle fiercely.
With the help of the android still at his side, paramedics heave Luthor onto a stretcher, carrying him into an ambulance and driving him off to the nearest hospital. The SCU detachment meanwhile quickly mobilise around the Thelryn and his restrained opponent at a safe distance, two of them lugging over a hefty-looking energy cannon of some kind.
“Stand back, sir. We’ll take it from here.” One of the cannon-toters drawls.
The Metropolis sky train was a remarkable system. Also known as the hanging railway, the driverless carriages zipped along in perfect harmony. Never colliding, never late. Unless some madman decided to use the rails as substitute monkey bars, anyway.
A rather unusual-looking beige android appeared to be doing just that, fleeing from a trio of SCU choppers. Its arms squashed and stretched like bits of taffy, and its crossed and wrapped up legs clutched fiercely to a nondescript and expensive-looking piece of machinery - presumably the reason for the chase. The choppers made no attempt to open fire, fearing the damage to the rails, instead trying to hound the thief away from its unorthodox escape route. News stories coming in about the event would reveal that the robot had stolen this equipment from S.T.A.R. Labs.
As Hayden realized that the SCU units were looking through the building, he surmised that they were searching for the speedy kid. If the kid had committed some crime then Hayden had an obligation to help catch him.
Iosif heard the vehicles pull up. It wouldn’t be safe to simply wait around for them to leave, especially not with Hayden nearby. Good thing he isn’t a superman though. Or maybe bad? Maybe if he was, they could arrest him…
The door at the bottom of the stairs didn’t have a lock, but on the inside it did have an outlet. Iosif kicked the panel until it broke and pulled wires loose until he found one with a charge, plugging it into his wrist.
I’ll need the full charge this time.
Gideon shrugged. “Might be interesting. But at the same time, might be stupid. If it’s the Luthor rally, we wouldn’t be doing any good except revealing who we are.”
Answer would head onto the streets in civilian clothes, taking with him one of his pistols, holstered underneath his jacket. He would take his notepad with him trying to see if he could identify the location in Southside.
“Am I supposed to have a secret identity or something? Is it required when you get a power… Everyone has one. I guess I need one too huh.”
Adelaide started climbing a nearby fire escape, slowly forming a paper construct. Paper peeled off her, as she kept rebuilding herself.
Gideon squinted quizzically at Adelaide’s sudden… Relocating. Most people usually walked?
He dug around in his suit pocket until he found his cigarettes.
Wait is he lighting another one? What a jerk!
The paper construct slowly formed into a vague approximation of a gang glider though it seems like a paper airplane but without the typiical fold in the middle. Adeliade grabbed a magic pencil from her bag and started scribbling her runes.
Regardless of what they planned to do with the cannon, the man Thelryn was restraining was a criminal. So, he did what he thought was the only option: release Luthor’s attacker to the authorities.
“He’s all yours,” Thelryn said as he backed away.
Irrelevant OOC: Is it “yours” or “your’s”? I honestly don’t know
OOC:
The apostrophe is a contraction, so your’s would be your is.
Which doesn’t make sense.
So the first spelling is correct.
IC:
Gideon struck a match and lit his cigarette before clutching the match, putting the flame out. He puffed at it and squinted at Adelaide.
This is going to be interesting.
