Toa Kopaka and the People of Ko-Koro (2/6)

Hi everyone! I’m proud to present my revamped take on the legendary Toa of Ice, Kopaka. His design is heavily inspired by my take on Toa Tahu, as I thought it would be a good homage to their rivalry and eventual respect for one another.

He very much has several of the prominent geometric design elements of the 2001 line, and I think he looks like a stereotypical hero archetype with his sword, shield, broad shoulders and obvious power. He and Turaga Nuju use old light grey in their builds, which was very nice to work with during the designing stages. Speaking of which, the whistling Turaga of Ice shares many design elements with Turaga Onewa, just as the 2001 sets did, with his longer arms and legs compared to some of the other elders. Matoro and Kopeke round out the group, with Kopeke being a new addition. For those eagle-eyed viewers, his tool is pulled from the key he created in MNOG. I mixed his light blue and dark grey from his two iterations and I’m pleased with how he turned out. Matoro is unchanged from last year, as I can’t see any improvements needed on him. Hope you like this group of cool dudes!

You really nailed it on the moc. I gotta say the detail you added to making the characters looking like that is really cool, ice and beautifully breathtaking.

@Au-Plau-Se Wow, thank you very much for the kind words! I am thrilled that you like their detailed aesthetic as much as I do. These were a lot of fun to create, and it means a lot to have them praised. Thanks for commenting!
