Following the boom of Arthakan Sports, I have decided to make a sport for Mahri Nui, which I established in this pitch.
Unfortunutely, at the moment you're reading this, I haven't thought it out completely, so, if you have any suggestions, here with them!
This thread will be continuously updated with all the suggestions and ideas.
So, on with the sport!
I present to you; Hydruka, the sport of Mahri Nui!
There is a ball of air, created by a Hydruka at the start of the match. (Hence the nane)
The players have a staff with a socket at the end (A bit like Kolhii staff, but without the other, hammer-like end)
The goal is most-likely (Yes, I am not fully sure about this) sieze the bubble and get it in your gate.
The players ride on the backs of underwater rahi Hydruka. (Suggestion by @Bokarda)
During the match, violence is not prohibited. If you want to beat your opponent to get the air-bubble, you can. As long as you do not cause any permanent injury or completely beat the opponent out of the game. (Make him unable to play any longer)
This is because matorans of the underwater region are hardened by violence and survival. They face death every day outside the city, so they are used to violence.
- The game can be played by two, three or even four teams. The all have mixed matorans in them, since they do not view each other as members of different regions on the surface, but all as the same inhabitants of Mahri Nui.
(All of this will be added to the Mahri Nui thread in the next update.)
Sometimes, the air-bubble may wander outside the stadium, all players can follow it wherever it goes, but are doing so on their own safety.
As this is an underwater sport, playing from all 3 dimensions is allowed, swimming above or below your opponents is thus considered a tactic.
So, this is basically an underwater Quiddich with only one air-bubble. It is considered dangerous but comeptitive. I would like there to be elements from all the different regions, as Mahri Nui does have mixed population.
That is it for now! Please, leave your suggestions below! Thanks for reading this thread!
