Whenever I used to imagine him, the main characteristics that would resonate in my head would be his aura of elegance. My portrayal sought to depict that element and bring it to focus. Artahka, The Ancient Builder (Canon Contest #2: Meet the Maker) Lego Creations

Entry Photo [20200920_114228] For my entry, I wanted to try to create a version of Artahka that sets him apart from other characters in the Matoran universe, or something with an aesthetic that acts as a precursor to what we see in G1 Bionicle, given he was one of the first characters created by the Great Beings. To do this, I used a lot of non-Bionicle pieces, like Ben 10 and system bricks, then attempted to tie it together with technic and classic Bionicle pieces. I wanted to actually use sand green in my model, and the only sand green bricks I had on hand were from the Ben 10 sets, so that’s what I ended up using. I think it works well to establish Artahka as a more alien figure, with elements unfamiliar to most residents of the Matoran universe. I also tried to introduce a geometric…

Here’s my Artakha attempt. In an ideal world he would have had the G2 mask of creation as the placeholder mask, but I do not own one and couldn’t get one in time. Regardless, the mask isn’t important to the Moc contest. I instead opted to use one of the few I owned that matched my shade of green. Also apologies for the poor lighting… I’m no photographer. Here’s my version of Artakha:

Artakha (Meet the Maker) Lego Creations

Here is my interpretation of Artakha, the legendary creator. I envisioned him as a smith like character; he’s incredibly strong from all his years working the forge. Main Image: [image] There were a few other things I kept in mind when building him. First, I wanted the armor to have the runes he is said to have. “He stood at least 10 feet tall. His armor was gray-green and covered in runes carved at the beginning of time.” — Reign of Shadows, Chapter 10 To me, the perfect part for this was the Hewkii Inika mask. It has an intricate pattern carved into it, which I think suits Artakha perfectly. Various other Gunmetal Grey parts seemed to echo the aesthetic of those masks. Arthaka - The Burning Forge (Bionicle Canon Contest #2: Meet The Maker) Lego Creations

[2020-09-21 19-54-19 (C,Smoothing4)] Here is my take on Arthaka. I started the moc with the midriff forge section. The rest of the design followed after that. The Giant gear on the back is connected to a gearbox that moves the right arm. The hammer was designed to have some kind of oven inside of it. Artakha the Creator (Canon Contest #2: Meet the Maker) Lego Creations

Here is my entry for the second canon contest. He appeared to be ambivalent to the events of the world, creating artifacts of both light and darkness, and also isolating his domain from the outside world. Entry Photo: [20200916_142908] I wanted to make him highly armored, and tried to make some unique shaping in his design. He has some oddities about his appearance such as slightly haunched legs, clawed hands, and exposed ribs. Being that he and Karzahni are unique creations of the Great Beings, and early ones at that, I think there could be some “otherness” and prototyping to his look. For example: prominent pistons in his abdomen and legs and cables running up his spine. For his hammer I went the route of classic Bionicle design, and just put an absurde amount of pistons on it. Gathered friends, I am here today to enter my submission for the Meet the Maker Contest. Let me introduce my rendition of the wearer of the Mask of Creation himself, Artakha! Artakha, G1 style build (Meet the Maker contest entry) Lego Creations

[Artakha Render Front] This is my entry for the Artakha contest. I wanted to design something that people wouldn’t need to paint parts to build. I also wanted to keep to the style of '06 - '08 Bionicle. I did need to use a unique elbow and forearm design to support the mighty weight of his hammer. I had thought of using a smaller hammer, but I just loved the shape and color of the UCS Batmobile wheels. It seemed natural for the Mask of Creation to also be gold in G1, seeing as other rare or legendary masks tend to gold until something bad happens to them. (Tarnished Vahi, mid-countdown Ignika, shadow leeched Avohkii) It also seemed fitting for the mask not to be only piece of gold on the build. I made sure the neck joint can easily be replaced with a socket to accommodate a Metru head.…
