"Mask Maker"

Some beings are made with great power, some seek after it, and some still merely envy for it. But him? If only it ended at envy and seeking. I would run before his longing gaze falls on you.

Profile:

Code name: “Mask Maker”

Real Name: Unknown

Species: Turaga (formerly)

Gender: Male

Kanohi: Various. Normally Cahtapier

Powers and Weapons: “Mask Maker” is normally seen wielding a craftsman hammer and firestaff. Abilities usually vary, but some constants are weak elemental powers of Iron, Magnetism, Fire, Stone, Earth, and Plasma. As well as being able to use more powerful mask than just Noble Kanohi.

Personality: Not much is known of his personality outside of reputation. A wise sage gone mad on a path for power. Merciless, emotionless, and very cruel. Greatly envious of beings of great power.

Background: Between training sessions and missions, many rumors and tales spread between hunters. None more concerning than the one simply known as “Mask Maker.” An envious being that captures beings of greater power and turns them into Kanohi. If not for screams, let alone the pounding, most older hunters would dismiss it as another Turaga story just to keep them in line. But the “Mask Maker” is very real, and will turn others into masks of power.

Many good hunters have been lost to “Mask Maker’s” envy, leading to speculation as to why he’s allowed to stay on the island. Others like “Eliminator” had been forced off the island for similar actions. So why not “Mask Maker?” Perhaps their leader wished to learn how he transferred other being’s powers into objects. Perhaps its to thin out hunters who were growing powerful enough to challenge for the throne. Maybe it was all that and more.

And as with so many hunters of such mystery comes the question of how “Mask Maker” came to be. There are many tales, but none so popular as this one. Once “Mask Maker” was a mere Toa of Iron, hero of his little pathetic village of Matoran. Then came the Makuta to wipe out the threat such Toa posed. Fearing for his life, he sacrificed his power and became a sickly Turaga, something so worthless the Makuta just passed him over. But this early weakened state before his proper time drove him to the brink of madness. Seeking power, he turned on fellow Turaga first and forced them into this new fusion. Still not as powerful as he once was, he sought more. Should you see him eyeing you, flee while you can else you become his new face. Though perhaps you should just kill yourself, for that is a better destiny than to join the screams.

Builder’s Notes: So, that’s “Mask Maker.” Not the most happy with this one, mostly because of the arms. With how I built it to get the masks aligned like that, I couldn’t quite get an angle/distance away from the torso I liked to where the arms could move. That and the arms couldn’t support ball joint pieces very well, so they’re frozen in place. Maybe I’ll try this one again some day.

Other than that, he’s supposed to somewhat look like a Turaga Nui. I think I’ve managed to achieve that decently, but perhaps next time I need a more Technic build.

I love how you hype him up like this and then it turns out he’s just a little dumpy boy.

Those bulky arms really impress me!

It is really intereating how you integrated all these masks into the build.

Hey, not everyone that’s feared is particular tall. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks.

Thanks. Though I do wish I had more masks within this color scheme to integrate. Ah well.

His biggest problem is the inconsistent color scheme.
